Not seeing what’s broken here. You may not have sacrificed your immediate economy but you sacrificed your future economy pretty badly by taking Life Seeded.
how? you just go conquer another empire's planets. Life-seeded is what allows you to have an economy in the first place, at year 4.

Capturing other empire's planets is the most efficient method of gaining pops > future economy in this game

I believe you've discovered something that is an over powered start, but this has been documented.

I've seen other people say that by starting with replacing everything with alloy plants and sucking up the consumer good deficit, and taking anything that improves ship fire rates, you can basically corvette spma/rush and usually force people into tribute.

repugnant because amenities are not that big of a deal early, and by the time you actually need it, you are going to be conquering other empires planets/pops and will be able to get lots of slaves.... domestic servitude/livestocks ftw!

I agree domestic servitude is pretty awesome. Solves unemployment in slaves too!

Except the 10% happiness boost, what is the difference between life seeded at the start of the game and a normal start with respect to alloy production?

Your other production that you need to make the alloys in the first place benefits from the boost. Other than that life-seeded let's you benefit a lot from any pops you acquire as they like your homeworld.

I just played a game like that, I like to go Gaia with Barbaric Despoilers or with Nihilistic perk. Go 3-4 alloys like OP, finish Supremacy tradition first.
Raid some capital worlds and get around 100-130 pops to make every single housing and district on your Gaia work. Make one of alien races Domestic servants to have max amenities. If you need more specialists, it's totally ok to give some aliens residence (better to use those who have your ethics).
And now you can colonize quite everything with all different races you have, avoiding problems with your species Gaia preference completely.

Why are Barbaric Despoilers the best?
- less housing tradition is very important to get more aliens to your capital
- extra building tradition
- extra habitability tradition

Why is raiding better then claim capital + resettle? (But that way is ok too)
- no influence cost
- no happiness penalty
- no energy cost

started with a mining district first, which you should do as well, a 10% production bonus doesn't offer a lot of value to the initial rush

the power of the gaia comes into play once you consider pop resettlement and scaling, but not at year 2205-2210 when you actually execute your first claim.
