i was thinking of a Pim Fortuyn (you know.. the Dutch politician that got shot) surviving the assassination attempt and developing militaristic/Nazi-german tendencies (note: I am NOT comparing him to Adolf H. but he was a bit "afraid" of immigrants)
this COULD be an alternative to an economic crash in Europe; a sort of revolution opposing muslim immigration, perhaps going down to full fledged civil war (immigrants versus the original inhabitants) in various countries.
