Future Scenarios

A while ago, someone (I think it was Kaigon?) brought up the idea of expanding Aberration by including scenarios with later start dates, much like the normal, historical mods and vanilla. Archduke said no, since this would require pre-determining the history of Aberration. Well, I just had an idea that, I think, solves this problem rather nicely... What if we made multiple, different scenarios for a given time period? We could, for example, have two scenarios starting in the seventeenth century, one in which Bavaria and Genoa, for example, are dominant, and one in which the Hansa and Sicily are dominant. The future scenarios, then, would be more like a showcase of what can happen in Abe, rather than what should/will happen.

Later start dates could be interesting to have It's just about creating the starting situation anyway, all events and such are unchanged. Or if changed or added will effect the earlier start too.

Well, I'd be willing to shoulder a burden or two, but it doesn't sound like the current team is big enough to tackle it, now that I think about it... We'd need contributions on the scale of the AGCEEP to maintain it and still keep updating Abe.

Oh well, it was just a thought.

The biggest issue I have heard in later than 1425 scenarios is that as colonization scene would need to have things in it, it would give sort of predeterminated colonization zones for Abe players too...

I, personally, would much rather see the time spent tackling the ROTW area, which in the initial Aberration is virtually untouched. Perhaps a second scenario with the same startdate, the differences lying with whether or not the aberrated history also prevails outside of Europe?

Heh, I was wondering what happened to this. If you or anyone else is to be working on something like this, I'd love to help.
