Hi,

Last days i have been reading and watching stuff about CiM. Cant wait to get my hands on it! As i am reading and watching, my mind goes into fantasy world and i do see allot(!) of further development potential. Im not talking about the sequel but further expansion of vehicles, maybe goods transport, aeroplanes ect.
Looking at the bigger picture, how nice would it be to be able to connect the four cities with high speed trains:wacko: or planes.
I truly hope that this title will be the start of a new transport tycoon era that will expand...and grow, and blast away every transport tycoon game so far made.

Why many people want this game to go outside of a city ?

With a bit of luck (if dev make it) or by a hack of some sort, it might be possible to make HUGE map.
With such map, maybe we would be able to make multiple city on one map. But I doubt that the game will propose this.

With the largest mapsize supported in V1.0 it already takes a lot of work to create a big city, if you would double the size I guess it will take a week or more to do so.

Dreaming about the future possibilities isn't bad imho. How about a multiplayer version of CiM in which every player has his own city in which he runs the public transport. Connections to other cities are made by regional companies which are run by players who owed a certain ammount of 'experience'. Cargo connections feeding your city (and thus its growth) can be made as well and in this way you can run goods to the nearest city where they will either be put on a train for long distance (other experienced players) or consumed in the neighbouring city.
Just an idea to create on big highly detailed MMO-transport tycoon game ;)

Please, don't get me wrong! As far as i can see now i'm truly satisfied with the game as it is, even without having played it. It was just my fantasy world.
@ Zarine: Don't know...Its just that its part of everybody's life. Everyday we commute and during weekends we often visit relatives outside town ect. It was just a thought.
@ Vanadio: I know its a persons transport tycoon. I was just fantasizing how great it would be if peoples mood would be influenced by mail they receive from the postmen...
@ Sir Singleton Mosby: The fantasy world is a beautiful place to live isn't it;) I didn't dare to write about the MP part. Glad you did :)

Hi, this is a nice topic. At least it shows the devs what the fans have in mind for the future of CiM :D

I just registerd to the paradox forums in order to join the CiM community. I like trains very much. I know that the player can not use trains in CiM they just add to the overall mood of the game. But I even like the aspect that they're in the game.

Even if there won't be any interaction between cities in MP I can still see the use of trains in the economy part of the game. I would really appreciate an expansion where the passenger transport is merged with the transport of goods.

You know there is no MP right now, do you?
