A funny thing happened that made me chuckle in a Soviet Union game I was playing.
The Czech's refused Germany's demands, therefore Germany invaded. Poland then thought it would be fun to declare war on Germany. Germany took both of them, bringing the "Germans invade Poland without our consent" event into effect, allowing me to declare war on Germany.
I hit the declare war option, lowering some dissent. But I still had my non-aggression pact with Germany.
The end result was, while I was at war with Germany, I could not invade their territory, nor could they invade mine (the game wouldn't allow it), although I could invade the Romanian territory, and fight German units there, as they were allied with Germany.
It was solved by simply canceling the non-aggression pact, but it was still a little funny.
