The Aesir are the Norse deities. Doutbisetsmi is 'Doubt Besets Me', from the event in CK2 when your character suspects his pregnent wife's child is not his own. Oyubetcha is 'Oh, you betcha!', which is a phrase that I'm not aware of having any specific Paradox-related connotations.

Ah Aser; wasn't aware they were called Aesir in English. Also the Aser lived in Asgård so wouldn't it make more sense to call the province Asgård and then have the culture being Ase or something like that?

It is part of the new random new world generator; you need Conquest of Paradise to use it. It is rather fun; and Secret Denmark actually is a nation in it! There are also ancient Egyptians who crossed over to the new world, a Jewish enclave, Chinese colonies, Vinland, Knights Templars, high American native empires, lost Balkans (they can probably start a war over who were responsible for that), and other things which I have forgotten.
Just remembered that there also are something like 4 "Columbus was right" scenarios. I.e. Indians inhabit the new world and have Indian tech and Indian culture. (There is a scenario for each Indian culture group.)Thanks, I never used Random New World, I guess It's time I use it
I did not find any amusing RNW maps, but i did find a couple funny provinces/native tribes, like the province of Aimwell and the native tribe Attaboi. The last one mede me laugh quite a bit
As far as I know it is pretty certain that the Vikings reached North America. What is uncertain is which part Vinland refers too. (Though I think some remains were found in New Foundland recently.)
