Fullscreen or Borderless?

What setting for window mode have you guys found to be the best for performance?

If you're having trouble running the game, get a map mod like "In Heavens Cartographic Map".

Borderless I feel is preforming better than fullscreen for me.

But yes, if you ask about performance, get a map mod.

Flat map and water mod or Cartographers map mod or one of the others.
Search for "map" in the Workshop and you will find.

Alternatively there is also a no-India mod.

Borderless because I cannot comprehend people who solely play CKII. I love the game, 2,500 hours in but I have to be able to switch tabs or use the second monitor to watch or browse. No amount of performance is worth listening to the CKII sounds again and again. I don't think i've played with sound for months haha.

Yup, agreee. They are not exactly nice or subtle.
There is a solution for the sound.sfx file.
That is "volume = 0".

Fullscreen has always performed better for me.

Apparently, I'm one of those nuts that solely plays CKII. I also play at speed 4 without problems hundreds of years into a game, so there is always something to do.

Not for performance, just habits from when I was more active in the modding scene
