You really can't judge the impact of the changes with the 1.2 patch with testing hands-off, AI will still make ahistorical actions, while at the same time the lack of human involvement in the game will likely give atypical results for things like the development of the world market, the formation of alliances by the AI, etc.

Hands-off games really do not give much indication as to what the game will be like as they evolve, the game really does behave quite differently with an active human player directly interacting with the AI in the course of the scenario.

As I enjoy playing as Wallachia, it's mostly like handsoff until I'm a GP, and with this patch, I don't think it's likely to happen anyway. I just want to be able to contemplate AI wars, even though I can't get involved.
