Went a little on theorycraft and here are the news for those wanting to know more details about how fuel works.
Its easier than it looks, but some are struggling so im posting this to help people calculate how much fuel a unit/batallion is actually going to cost.
that way you need to import/build only what you need.
Every unit that uses fuel have Fuel Usage.
But the ratio is not Universal.
Fuel usage have a different value depending if you're using Land, Air or Naval units.
Land Units -> 1 Fuel usage = 7,1 fuel/day moving
Naval units -> 1 Fuel usage = 2,4 fuel/day Moving/patrolling.
Air Units -> 1 Fuel usage = 8 fuel/day on mission day + Night. (air superiority).
Remember for land and naval the values are for moving. When fighting they double.
8 oil gives = 384 fuel (With 0 refining techs).
Now lets break this into numbers we can actually burn into our memorys and use.
Every 8 oil can support without tech.
Land
-> 54 Fuel Usage (Moving) / 26 Fuel Usage (Fighting)
Naval
-> 166 fuel usage (Moving) / 88 (Fighting)
Air
-> 48 Fuel Usage for missions.
EX: I can make a Motorized (1.2 fuel usage) . I create 44 battalions of them in 4 divisions (52.8 fuel usage total).
I can move all 4 divisions and not lose a single drop of oil.
But i start fighting i will start losing oil.
As you can see with the numbers above you can now better calculate how much oil you need to keep your offensives.
Miscalculate and you will run out of oil or waste too much IC.
some examples.
The picture above is a super heavy battleship. It cost 100 fuel usage.
So that means it needs 230 fuel/day to keep running and 460 fuel for day of battle.
Below a 10 LT x 10 Inf composition.
Land terrain does not change fuel consumption.
now using heavy tanks. Same ratio (7,1)
If anything wrong with the numbers please do post about it. I will correct the number so the post becomes a easy way to acess the info. (until someone post it on the wiki ^^).
EDIT: Fixed naval ratio from 2.3 to 2.4. Sorry for the mistake
