I invade on September 25th and by the 29th Canada had 10 divisions in Bremen. . .

This seems suspicious. Even by 1942, I've never had Canada launch an invasion this good.

Question: At any point in your game, did you fire any cheat commands? Some of them apply both to you and all AI countries when you fire them.

Hi, I'm the OP!!! LOL

Luckily I saved the game the day I declared War. . . I have now run the scenario five times since and each time it is the same thing.

I have put 15 divisions, of infantry and Panzer, to garrison the coast and ports yet the Allies just keep throwing troops into the mix. I've tried large surface navies, 30 U-boats, hundreds of aircraft and the AI keep landing troops. . .

I invade on September 25th and by the 29th Canada had 10 divisions in Bremen. . . HOW is that even remotely possible? In 1939 Canada only had a standing army of 4,200 with 51,000 reserves. . . how do they land 100,000 trained and equipped troops, on the other side of the Atlantic, four days after the outbreak of War? The time to embark, sail, and disembark alone would have taken two weeks.

Speaking from a MP perspective, where players push game mechanics to the limit, the common advice is that the best place to stop naval invasions is at the landing port with 80 combat width of troops and having a few hundred more planes than the opponent in the land region over the port. Air and sea power alone don't seem to reliably stop naval invasions, barring getting lucky on convoy interception (intercepting the convoy doesn't seem to be any easier than intercepting any other convoy passing through the area.)

That being said, I'm still experimenting for better ways to reliably stop naval invasions.

You can't invade unless you have naval superiority. And unfortunately, even in WW2, no navy could have naval superiority if the Air superiority was owned by the enemy in that same naval area. The game doesn't reflect this concept very well at the moment. IRL, the allies would have been pathetically pushed back into the sea by Axis airpower in that scenario.

What are cheat commands?

You asked, he answered. Why did you ask?

Anyway, console commands can be used to cheat, or to allow you to efficiently set up situations to test outcomes/game mechanics.

The lack of landing craft in HOI has been a bugaboo since its first incarnation. Lots of folks have been hollering about it the whole time. Sad. :-(

Thank you but why would I use them?

You never know.

How many times have I seen a thread where someone says, "Major power has impossible numbers of planes/ships/tanks/whatever!" and it turns out they had a console command for production in place that affected all countries in the game.

It's a good trouble shooting possibility to rule out.

Thank you, but I don't play Multi-player. . . as you can see I'm still trying to figure out single player!!! LOL
