Frustrated Plans

Ok, I had my 3rd son marry the Oldest sibling of the Duke of Albany, who is 3rd in line for the Scottish throne. Anyway, as soon as she arrives in court she becomes ill. I thought well, ok, but this was just the begining of what was to come. Then the next day, the son becomes less fertile. Then, 2 weeks later, the son decides to tell me he's gay. I was so angry at the absolute destruction of my plan fo inheriting Albany, that I disenherited and exiled him. Anyone else have any stories of frustrated plans?

Well, I married a lustful teenager, was pretty confident on the continuation of my dynasty, which was at that point down to my ruler, his sister and aunt.

About 8 years later I got frustrated with her, had her assassinated, married a lustful and indulgent (both are +2 fertility) teenager. My ruler is now over 60, and still has no legitimate children. 4 bastards though, 3 of which are sons, and the youngest was born when my ruler was 60 or more. So it's not me, it's the wives.

Not from birth, but daughters can be found out to be illegitimate by event.

Presumably the rulers just don't even bother aknowledging bastard girls, since they can't inherit anyway. Instead, the Pretty Wench That Caught Your Eye (tm) just ends up raising that bastard girl herself.

I had an incident in the early game where I had a ruler go through 5 wives, and had 13 children... all girls too. He was up there in age (70), so in pure anger, I just cheated and gave him a couple of bastards and stripped bastard away from them.

Then they died within two years of each other, and my ruler croaked... killing my dynasty.

The rage I felt then was massive...

I was close to having a so called frustrated plan.

Started out a game as Lombardia, TASS mod.

It was going well, two sons both fairly decent. Welll....

The oldest as soon as he was 16 decided to be gay, losing 7 fertility on the spot and the modifier gives -7 fertility to say the least. At this point, I was like, okay... might as well marry a decent stat lady and make money, I still have my youngest son.

So, on to the youngest, after marrying him to a decent intrigue woman... gets her impregnated and he gets the balls to get me to abdicate my throne.
At this point, I tell him to kill himself. I like my current ruler and I didn't like my uppity son. My wife died as well...

Soooooo... at this point. I was in anger. No heir.
Married a new fertile teenager wife, leader pushing 56. The spy master heired a grandson. My main leader heired a son.
I was quite impressed at my situation.

Although the daughter in law took away my only grandson to German lands where I never saw him again.

So close to having no dynasty as the homosexual son of the first never sired a child.

Granted his young brother claimed the throne of Italy, and due to assasination of a his (King of Sicily) inheriting son... gained claims to Sicily.

Effectively uniting Italy, although there are some strays.
He died fighting muslims in Tunisia, which was eventually gained.

Italy is obscenely wealthy...
