Wrath of the Old Gods
With many adopting the new Germanic faith including most of the remaining Catholics in Norway, Bagge feared that the Catholic Pope would launch a crusade against them. To counter this Bagge declared that the Norse would do something similar to the Crusades and Jihad, in the hope that it would further expand the Germanic Faith.

Increasingly becoming paranoid that the Catholics would attack, Bagge passed a law prohibiting his jarl's from fighting each other on the battlefield. Now disputes would need to either be settled by a duel or some other method. Although many Jarl's were quite displeased about this they were grateful that Bagge had no plans on forbidding them war against outsiders.

Not wanting to wait around for the Catholics to attack, Bagge declared a great holy war for Rus. Despite Rus not being Catholic they were still Christian, and Bagge wanted to show the Christian world that the Norse weren't some child waiting to be snuffed out.

As thousands of Germanic Warriors gathered in Finland, news came from Balder II that he was successful in his Invasion of Denmark. Despite be glad that the news was good for once, Bagge worried that Balder II would become too strong from this and try to claim the Danish crown for his own. In order to break up the new territory Bagge created the Jarldoms of Skane and Jylland which he then assigned to two of the remaining Danish counts now under Balder II control. Once they accepted he demanded their conversion.

As the Swedish marched through Rus, Bagge could not believe how backward it had remained even after having been converted to Orthodox. Many of the holdings were still no more then tribes and most of the hosts they came across were no more then 1000 in strength. As they moved towards the Capital of Rus, they came across a small Russian host of 915. Unlike the other battles however Bagge caught sight of Grand Duke Trifon, the King of Rus.
As the two close in on each other, Trifon seems to recognized who he was about to face. Perhaps because of this instead of instantly charging Bagge, Trifon held back and the two began to circle each other. Finally Trifon feints a strike and Bagge lunges at him catching him off guard, Trifon's heart is soon pierced and he crumples to the ground.
With Trifon dead his heir Gleb takes over. Gleb must of been liked a lot more then Trifon for soon after the Khan of Cumania, and the King of Ruthenia join in the defense of Rus.

With the new found allies the first battle with over 1000 enemy Warriors began, with the Cumans sending around 2000 to join up with the Russians. The Cuman host was quickly intercepted however and wiped out. With the war in Russia having taken the majority of the Swedish troops away, the Catholics peasants launch one final major attempt at independence. With 2800 revolting in Island, and another 4800 in Blekinge this would be one of the largest peasants revolts in Swedish territory.
Less then a year later the German Empire declared war for Breman. With this news Bagge hired the Lappish and Finnish bands to help reinforce his personal levis that he had raised to deal with the revolt. Quickly this newly made host marches towards the 4000 Catholics now in Halland wiping them out before proceeding to hold defensively on the island of Fyn.

The 8800 Swedes on Fyn truly showed the strength of the Norse this day. For 13000 Germans crossed over from Slesvig to try and begin a push through mainland Sweden. Despite eventually being forced to retreat they had only suffered 1000 more casualties then the Germans. Unfortunately for these brave warriors, another host of 10000 Germans was just behind the previous 13000 allowing them to be quickly chased all the way to Skane were every living Norse faithful was slaughtered. Luckily for the realm as a whole the Germans turned around and began sieging the various islands left in between.
A few months after the battle against the Germans, the Russians finally surrendered ceding vast amounts of useless land. With nothing but angry Orthodox peasants. To accommodate the new vassals Bagge ended up decentralizing the realm.

Knowing the price he would pay if he continued the war against the Germans, Bagge surrendered ceding the county of Breman to their Kaiser. Now the only issue Bagge had left to solve was the Catholics in Island. However before he could get his remaining warriors on a boat, Bagge was found dead in his bed at the age of 50. Long live Fylkir Inge.
