The idea has finally clicked in my head when i was micromanagig every unit in Spanish Civil War and since frontline improvements are on to-do list, i felt like throwing an idea in.
What if we were able to create multiple focus points in frontline so that we have have enough divisions to support a spearhead?
What i mean is, when im trying to create small pockets, i have to run a division through enemy territory and as the division goes on its way, enemy can fill the holes and pocket me instead. Now, i can attack with my other division to delay them filling the gaps like suppresing fire, entrenching in instead is better idea. To do so, i manually bring other units in frontline but once they are done moving, they tend to go back somewhere else - spread evenly across frontline.
Another case would be, say, enemy has several land forts along the border but not evenly distributed. I logically, wouldn't try to break through forts so i wouldn't want my division pile up in front of it. Having as less division as possible to just hold the line would be enough.
I would like to know what you think about this idea. Any input is welcome.
