I caught the Frontier Clinic at 47:05 of the last Starfish stream, right before Martin says "Personally, I am very peacefully building battleships"

Frontier Clinic: Same +2 food, but it reduces growth time on the planet instead of increasing habitability. I was unable to make out the actual numbers. Cknoor went with Atmospheric Filtering instead.

Makes it useful even on Gaia worlds and makes the habitability traits even more powerful.
It also makes the Habitability more consistent for the AI.
Colonising a planet on the Habitability border with Droids, only to then make it habitable via Frontier Clinic/Hospital is beyond it.

The Galactic Food rework may have lead to them recalculating population growth such that habitability is no longer a factor. Thus requiring the growth bonus to be listed separately.
Did not even thought about it that way. I do not think such a change would make a lot of sense. The only two effects of habitability are Happiness Cap and Growth Modifier.
Removing one of them altogether would be odd.
And the 2nd one (Happiness Cap) has a uncertain Future with the Faction/Happiness rework anyway.

I bet the pop growth is still modified by planet habitability but I haven't seen Wiz or cKnoor hover over a pop to see.

It's 5% growth time (I would assume 10% for hospital) Wiz has the tech. I'd assume you can still build it before you upgrade your capital building.
Also makes a good and easy to spot "My planet is full, tear it down and build something else" redevelopment building.
Could even drop it on your home world if you get the tech early enough.
Paradise dome also lost the habitability boost. I think it is food, unity, and happiness now.
Haven't heard that the effects of habitability have changed in 1.5.

Which means after the planet is full, frontier clinic will lose most of it's usefulness. Gaia planets are rare enough that increased habitability (which is useful on all but gaia planets) is the better option, imo.

Since it's a frontier clinic or hospital, doesn't it make sense that maybe it eventually needs to be replaced when a world isn't a frontier anymore?

Who would - "check with your doctor next week for more oxygen"? This change seem to make more sense for the frontier clinic. It makes sense to provide boost for population growth since frontier colonies wouldn't have much population and infrastructure to begin with. It would become obsolete after a while, just like frontier outposts.

it's like replacing hospital or school with a new fancy hypermarket\mall. common practice in some countries.
