I get tired of playing majors, so I usually play minor nations with a limited goal. That being said, I usually play with limited goals rather than world conquest or being #1 in points.

For example, playing as Muscovy(Russia) and trying to conquer and convert every province on the map that is Russian or Tartar culture and Orthodox. Another example is playing as Norway and trying to conquer every Scandanavian culture province. Usually tough, since Sweden is such a prick :) Oh, and the fact that Norway sucks :)

I tried being Korea and taking over at least 8 provinces from Manchu/China, but it is almost impossible in ACEEP. Not to mention annoying and not fun. Here's hoping to a new map adding a couple more provinces to Korea :)

I like to set specific goals for myself and accomplish them within a given amount of time. I also like to accept the goals the computer offers and do those. These are the funnest parts of the game for me. :p How about yourself?

Haven't played in a while, but the last 10 campaigns or so I've set up along the following lines:

Starting nation:
- a 1 or 2 province minor of one of Europe's major cultures

Aims:
- to unify all provinces of my culture(s) in one empire
- to become No 1 in points

Restrictions:
- No declaration of war without a casus belli
- No accepting/offering peace deals that involve provinces not of my culture
- No accepting/offering peace if it means my continental possessions will be non-continuous.

I like to take over some lesser known nations which didnt do very well in history and try to "rescue them" or even change history a bit.

In my last game I colonized Canada with Lithuania, and ate up Sweden :)

Now I try to stay alive with Morocco and do also some colonizing ...
