Ikar, you probably won't have supply issues while at peace, but the supply use will soar once war is declared. That's when you start to feel the pain of poor infra and limited IC. Hopefully your apparent reconquest of the Motherland won't get bogged by bad weather, bad terrain, and bad logistics. Giving the German machine a chance to respond would be....bad, to say the least.

The strange thing is that I have the same CG demand when I´m mobilized and when I´m not mobilized (24 IC for CG is quite a lot for a country with 80 effective IC). Maybe I can fill up these divisions with quality soldiers before the war... Infra upgrades are on the way though :)

Chapter II: From Ashes We Rise...

Here you can see the decision for annexations. Nothing fancy, but it works :)

I am trying to get communists into power in Brazil and later on in Argentina (they don´t like me very now much after three unsuccessful coups). Then I´ll abandon these efforts after that and set up a bigger spy network. Now I need my leadership for some serious research...

clipboard02ox.jpg

clipboard03jv.jpg

I produce only 14 units of crude oil, so I need some backup from the US. I´ve 115 relations with them, so why not set up a trade offer? :)

clipboard05q.jpg

Iran was puppeted by UK.

clipboard06zi.jpg

On 6th April (1944 of course), after immense Soviet pressure, it was decided everything was ready to incorporate Xinjiang (Soviet part), Mongolia and Tannu Tuva into Soviet Union as socialist republics.

clipboard07n.jpg

Allies are advancing into Iraq and Caucasus.

clipboard09o.jpg

Whoa! 853 manpower is needed to mobilize. That will take me a few years...

clipboard10nh.jpg

As Xinjiang incorporated into Soviet Union, some territory was already captured by Japanese, which later on gave it to Chinese Jingwei regime.

clipboard11di.jpg

This can´t be good. Japan and its Chinese puppets are mobilizing...

clipboard12a.jpg

Transfer of industry to Siberia! These events are really a nice boost and the manpower loss is surely sustainable. Later on I´ll get to 105 base IC thanks to them :)

clipboard13i.jpg

Thank you all for subscribing and comments, I really didn´t expect so many people comment here! I hope I´ll get to something more interesting soon enough; now I have no reason to wage war anyway with countless things my IC and leadership have to do :)

CG demand won't change due to mobilization it seems. But that may be due to the fact you're likely at 0 neutrality and thus the change is not enough to overcome any boni you still have. I see that a lot as a major once I hit low neutrality. The big change, especially during war, is supply draw.

Also, @ needing almost 900 MP to mobilize, if you can set aside 30-40 IC daily you can probably get them mobilized in a year or so....

Yeah, with decreasing neutrality the CG decreases too. I forgot about that. Anyway, better be safe than sorry.

I´m in Dec 1944 and I still need about 100 MP to fully mobilize. I run the highest training possible for my troops and it also helps me with officers. There is still a lot of things to do even to 1948, I guess I´ll extend the end date (1960?) - I´m building the SU right from the scratch after all :)

Heh it really depends on what the Allies can manage. There is a slim possibility that things might begin on your terms before '48 but realistically you are probably looking at...say a '50 or '51 start. Of course the longer you wait the more powerful the Germans get with Europe in their claws...

You could likely begin things earlier if you had a lot of provinces that you could play cat and mouse in to pick on the AI but the Siberian side of Russia tends to have large provinces, relatively speaking, reducing it more to a brute force quality and logistics game.

The Japanese-aligned China hugging up next to you is scary, also the fact they all suddenly mobilized doesn't help either. I feel you can ultimately take on China and Japan though since I imagine they're still behind you in military tech. Also if war does break out there are a few points in China where you could cut off and pocket the enemy. This will be much interesting to all see play out.

I don't think the IJA and its puppets are an issue, outside of diverting forces from facing Germany. If Ikar can stabilize the front against Germany he can likely roll over the Far East until he reaches coastlines and the fearsome IJN.

They got stalled near Tigris and Euphatus (where the first today´s human lived) in Iraq. The Caucasus front is stalled near Iranian-German border. I guess the infra there is just terrible and so are the fighting conditions. At least Allies can draw their attention in a more useful way than doing suicide invasions in Netherlands :)

I think I´ll get my techs up, then get my army updated and properly mobilized and after that I might take care of Germans. I´ve some spy missions abroad to coup some countries to my side; they might help me a bit too if I manage to get them on my side.

Even if I were losing there, they won´t get anywhere if I block my infra highways. The same goes possibly to me though. I´ve 50 divisions in Manchuria compared to 120 behind Volha. Germans have mostly there 1 division per province and Japanese/Chinese have minimally 2 and somewhere even 5 divisions.

At least I´ll make use of my glued navy :D

Chapter III: Taking My Time...

The sixth (and last) wave of industrial transfer behind Urals is completed. After that Soviet Union will have 105 base IC.

clipboard01sw.jpg

Wheee! Iceland!

clipboard03ol.jpg

Ecuadorian-Peruvian war has started. Ironically, Peru lost a zero infra province, while they didn´t gain anything.

clipboard04a.jpg

My army is finally mobilized. Now I need 11 IC to maintain it at 100%.

clipboard06eq.jpg

Infra highways are in order, but I can spend only a bit from my IC power.

clipboard07cs.jpg

The war in Africa and Middle East is getting interesting...

clipboard08ik.jpg

I was supporting my party in Romania and ultimately they got elected and now they left the Axis. Finally I´ll have a real help! :)

clipboard10l.jpg

They don´t like me but they´re drifting towards Comintern

clipboard11q.jpg

French State was a target of many coups. After Petain´s regime there was a short democracy and after that other democratic party overthrew it. Ultimately, they signed their death sentence by joining the Allies (or not)?

clipboard12c.jpg

Err; this is what you get after years’ worth effort...

clipboard13h.jpg

Whoa, I hope Iran can hold out. I don´t want to border with Axis on another front!

clipboard14h.jpg

It seems French puppets are doing a good job supporting British. The war is slowly moving towards Africa.

clipboard16km.jpg

This war is a mess. Italians disembarked in Syria and Tunis. Meanwhile British are advancing through Palestine and Transjordan.

clipboard17g.jpg

Is Casablanca the last VP Frenchmen have? Wrong! They still have Dakar.

clipboard19x.jpg

Lebanon is annexed and Syria is soon to follow.

clipboard20p.jpg

Now Italians have almost the whole northern Africa, while they´re lost Syria and Lebanon. Also Italian invasion of Kuwait took place. What a mess...

clipboard21r.jpg

I wonder why Germans have such a low unity. One would say they have no navy (no ASW warfare penalty) and they should have enough Jagdeschwarders to fight off British bombers. Nevermind, I´ll flush them the one way or another!

clipboard22z.jpg

I´m fed up with waiting. Let´s show them what for!

clipboard23u.jpg

Up-to-date :)

This will be interesting :)
What is your battle plan?

I think I´ll turn the AI on; at least until both fronts get shortened. I hope I´ll do its job well :)

Even though you're playing as godless commies, I'll pray for you to crush the Nazis. Seems like the only thing the world can agree on is killing Nazis... Lulz!

I guess I´ll have to :) Thanks for coming by!

The famous last words. I never trust AI in normal fighting but I use it for partisans usually even though it probably would do better than me.

I would´ve gone crazy from such a micomanaging. I can handle China or Romania, but certainly not Soviets. They´re doing quite fine ;)

so the war starts in 1947? good , ou'll need the extended timeline!

I set it to 1960. That should be sufficient :)

I had a really long session today (yesterday to be honest), so I´ll have a bunch of screenshots. So far I´m OK using the AI army, altough it did some stupid things.

This is a really interesting scenario, Ikarases!

I'll try to keep up with it, but I can't read much of the text on those screenshots, so I miss alot of what's going on. Are you able to crop them to show the important stuff? I'm an old man, and won't make it far if I have to get out the magnifying glass! :p
