I'm not sure if this is a bug or a historical inaccuracy - but I was playing the Road to War campaign as the UK and elected Neville Chamberlain as PM in 1937. It's now 1942 and Chamberlain hasn't resigned or died like he did in real life. I was hoping that Churchill might have taken over by now, but it doesn't seem like it. Maybe there hasn't been an election because the war has gone surprisingly well for Britain?

Also, the game seems to think that the British head of state is George V, who's been dead for years. George VI was the King when WW2 broke out.

Other than that though, it's a great game and I'm having enormous fun playing it. It's too bad that I've ejected the Italians from North Africa, so here's another question: After securing North Africa (I've left the Italians to rot in Abyssinia with no supplies), what should the next step be for the British player?

If you need some information on my situation, here it is:
- At war with all major axis powers.
- Italy's armed forces are pretty much dead and buried.
- The USA has joined the war.
- My navy is seriously depleted (around 100 vessels)
- The airforce is in ok shape, but appears to be outdated (Spitfire Is)
- Germany are completely occupied with the Russians and are steadily pushing along the Trans-Siberian Railway. The Soviets appear to be in a good position to cut them off (They have about 70 divisions in the Crimean area).
- I have pretty much zero defence in the East, apart from 12 divisions in Calcutta and some small garrisons in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Well if I were you, I'd invade mainland Italy, secure a good foothold there (defensive position in Bologna), rebuild your Navy, build naval bombers and if the tide is trning in the east (Russia) prepare for an invasion of France.

And I might build some extra infantry to defend the eastern provinces ( what ever you do, don't let the Japs take Singapore or Kuala Lumpur)

There should be a 'election' event in 1940 which brings in Churchill. Not sure why you didn't have this. Perhaps it's something unique to TRTW.

Oh, and HoI doesn't change Heads of States expect through special events or elections. And The UK does not have any of these. Unless you remove George V manually, then he's going to be King until 1948. This is not, however, the case with HoI II.

Ah, thanks. I actually made an abortive invasion of France already (from the South) with 5 Infantry and 5 Armour divisions. Vichy were absolutely terrible so I managed to get a foothold in Marseille and Toulon. I got a supply convoy going, but for some reason my troops' organisation fell randomly so I had to get them out before they were attacked. Why was their organisation falling?

Ok, so I'll try for Italy next. The Australians have already invaded Sardinia, and I have 4 Marine divisions freshly assembled to launch an invasion against Sicily or even the mainland itself. Hmm, this could work out quite nicely.

And yes, I'll build as much infantry as possible to ward off the Japanese in the Singapore area. Unfortunately I'm about 2x over my production limit at the moment, mainly due to the fact that I'm constantly researching (I'm at least 2 levels above everyone for Land, Naval and Air). Perhaps I should concentrate more on building stuff...
