Please put friendly fire (option?) in the game, thanks, I need this, I'm unpleasantly surprised it is not a thing in this game, I truly hate it whenever I see my shots flying thru my allies like thru ghosts without harming them, it ruins the fun quite a bit for me here (or maybe should I say it ruins immersion, big word a bit), also shots that missed original target but hit something/someone standing near said target, should do damage.

Optional? Sure. The more options for different players, the better.

Mandatory? No thanks.

I was always really cautious at first to not position my mechs in such a way that would cause friendly fire to occur. I actually assumed it was in the game already. Guess not...

heck Not just friendly Fire I wish they would at AOE or something if you shoot at an enemy Battletech and miss. but your missiles or something hit the enemy mech behind it. I know I thought at first Friendly Fire was on that's why I always spaced my mech out in a firing line to be sure of no friendly damage. but now I just Murder Ball and go on a killing spree. knowing I can just shoot through my allies ~~ plus it would be IMMERSIVE if Friendly fire was on~ though I'm still trying to figure out how the enemy mechs can shoot at us first when they are blips.. or shoot us through a wall taller then the my whole lance. it is cringe worthy to see that. ~ but on that note I think Friendly fire would be a welcome thing.

I agree that friendly fire would add a lot to the game. Annoying or not, it should matter if you fire 100 missiles at your targets, where 3 of your friends stands just beside it.

Friendly fire is a problem for the devs because of the headache they get from the playerbase who will blame the game, for them killing their own mechs.
It's simply easier to not have friendly fire, I understand.

But I really think it would make an improvement, AND create players who gets better at battles, because they pay more attention.

I would be in favour of friendly fire and the effect of missed shot still able to impact other targets. I agree it perhaps shouldn't be a mandatory setting, but could be included somewhere in the difficulty options they're planning.
