Friend unable to reset password

as per title, friend bought Stellaris, wanted to play online, cant recover his PDX account

im posting as..oddly enough... he doenst have forum access

the "reset your password" is giving the helpful response...
"This is taking way too long, something must be broken. Please try again later."

is this buggered? is it being fixed? can it be done manually ?

any help would be great as hes somewhat stuck

and any admin people - i do have his Email address if u could fix it manually just not going to post it on a forum.,...

I just had this problem. Make sure they read this one in particular:
