Well, it's a shame that Lampy got scared when I switched to UK for
balance of powers and banned me.

If Sweden lost divisions during the war with Egypt, then I won't be playing anymore. I've risked so much to play with you guys and if the AI lost most of my army to Egypt, then it won't be fun for me anymore.

I'm not sure how I was a bad host. Every time we rehosted "some1" would play a different country, even non-viable ones like S-P which's been half eaten by Austria, and never say anything. And diplo-deal with the OE. Meanwhile Talley's been fighting tooth & nail to allow tech trading while his OE now leads the world in tech advancement. In the end, both "some1" and Talley left together. Was "some1" Talley on another computer, feeding himself technology & cash? I suppose we'll never know. But I have to admit that I don't feel heartbroken over banning Talley from this game.
I have no idea. Wasn't watching Sweden. We didn't play all that long though, so in all likelihood the war's still going on.

Actually, it wasn't me who suggested that Talley cheated - it's not important who did - and it simply seemed like the most likely hypothesis after everyone else chimed in with their thoughts. As nobody has any proof we'll never know for sure. It might very well be that some1 never spoke during the game because he didn't speak English, and that he decided to play a wrecked S-P because he didn't know any better.
Only person I ever kicked was Talley for being stubborn, fact that some1 left without a word right after Talley came back and said his piece before leaving could very well have been a coincidence. Couldn't it?
As for people flocking to my games, I'd really love for a trend like that to develop, but this game is the first large MP game I ever hosted (EA is hosted by Raph) so I think it's too soon to tell Still, thanks for your endorsement of my connection/computer combo. I just got a cable modem installed today that's supposed to be 2-3x faster upstream, so here's hoping our next Friday session will have even less lag! (I'd appreciate if someone or a few someones would like to get together during the week and test it for lag.)
Anyway, we did have a fun session after Talley left, and I'm really looking forward to our next one. We've had 2 peaceful sessions so far, other than Russia/France battling rebels all over Prussia and Austria in the interest of keeping the damn liberals down, and I can't help but wonder when will a war break out - and between who? :rofl:

No matter who suggested there was cheating but such an accusation
should be based on convincing facts not on conjectures. Think twice
before you blame others.
As for Lamprey, he's GM of this campaign and decides who's allowed
to play. But it wasn't necessary to extend yourself to ban. You could just
ask to leave

Actually I believe Lady Europa told us about a guy she played with in EU that had a dual account at the same time he was in a game. Then everybody remembered talley's shady activies like the required tech trades and those somel/some1 guys. Neither of them talked and they each picked a different nation everytime we rehosted. I also pointed out that he had 7 more techs than Sweden (In fact, the OE even had some techs that it didn't have the prerequisites for, I have an screenshot if you don't believe me). I know I got the repeating tech bug, but OE having 7 more techs then Sweden is still a lot. Right after talley left the OE AI also passed the 150 industry mark and became #5 GP, it was only #7 or 8 while he was actually controlling it.
Hey, I *should* be able to make it next Friday. If you need players for some other time, I can do that too.
Definitely drop by Friday, I know OE/UK are well off as of now and would benefit from a human player; not sure about Spain. Would you be able to make a commitment to a weekly session, be a permanent player for one of those countries?
