pillaging adds gold to your monthly income. when your see the flames lick across a province, check out you treasury screen. you will see that your income has recieved a boost: i think its the tax value of that province.

if you are minting at the time, the new gold will go into your treasury.

I'm sorry I missed it. I had connection trouble until about thirty-forty minutes after the session started. By then, John had taken them and so my services went unused.

I will most likely need a sub on Veterans Day. Since that would mark our 4th session, as well as a 3-day weekend, I nominate that evening as our one evening a month that we take off. If not, I will need a sub.

I'm littlely surprised that Austria unprotected Hungary. And Spain is
really generous in this game tought. Sublime efforts, reached Trade and almost Infra 4 and converted most provinces to our Sultan excellencies. My DP went well in Land and Quality, superb move. New vassals came to us. Very good job.

If you liked subbing me, maybe I'll need your services in a near future if you're always open...

I might be able to sub next session, if that's what you mean by near future.

Also, I checked the save file for the last session and I must have been mistaken about the FAA I claimed was building there. Sorry about that. No need to edit in the manu since it apparently wasn't built, even though I could have sworn I ordered it built.

I too would like to congratulate KJ's performance, your second army entering the assaults appeared to be timed perfectly and I would be very happy if you could PM me with some hints on the timing you make...etc , I aint a great warrior , so any tips are most appreciated. That ransoming was done brilliantly, if somebody had unpaused it would have been lost for sure , I did not help the situation by having some artillery in my army pursuing yours.. , but still I was surprised at the success of the assault.


Also concerning the transfer of monies at the beginning of the game, it may have only been short alittle, by 87 ducats. Due to me having 3948 before according to stats and last save I had and not the lower amount Barca quoted.
But, besides this, I had bought 100 cannon almost immediately and I cant remember if this was before or after I questioned the cash (it still doesnt add up) but its close enough for me to think it was possible...very sorry if this was the case o , if it was...please forgive my stupidity and if it wasnt, forget about it.

Any chance of starting at 10:30pm or 11pm this week? I have a hockey game (Hurricane's Season Tickets) on Friday, so probably will be back at just around 10pm but it's the Flyers, so maybe be more traffic (usually sells out).

France and Portugal's alliance is strictly defensive in nature. Neither of us wishes to wage offesnive war, unlike our Iberian neighbor. I would hope that Austria recognizes that despite the short term gains she might make in a joint Spain/AUS war on France, that the OE will simply come back and coerce more money and land from the Habsburgs and all the goodwill built between France and Austria would be destroyed and not recoverable. Let Spain do her own offensive wars of aggression. No need to destroy Austria so that Spain can become richer.

PP, I have no significant territorial ambiutions in North America. I'm just setting up some trading posts to increase my income a bit. I'm sure we can come to an acceptable arrangement on a potential border and land split in NA. Additionally, there's always "other" areas that are ripe for the plundering.

One more thing. At 2am on Saturday morning, the time when our sessions usually end, Daylight Savings Time in the Us comes to an end. That means that at 2am, the time will reset to 1am and we gain an hour. Would anybody object to potentially playing an extra hour tonight and ending at 2am...the 2nd time around?

To be honest I am tierd to be the crybaby every FRI to stop playing but some pple need to get up to work next day. 4 hour sleep sucks. I will see how I feel at the 2:00am but I do not wish to quit the game and let ENG be AI.

No I would not want to play extra - thankyou, although I can and am able. It's just I really dont like sitting down for so long , especially while on a computer...isnt 4 hours game time + the initial setting up period plenty?

Also do we have someone to possibly fill in for Strix if he cant make it for the first 30/60 mins?
