Things need to be mixed up, hence the Franco-Spanish defensive alliance. I hate the same old way games pan out. Who knows, maybe Spain will be fighting Portugal and England for control of the New World.

I think some compensation is in order, but Brandenburg isn't a nation that will be hurt that bad by the AI. I think refunding about 1/2 of his census taxes over the time he subbed Sweden is fair.
If VNET is still down, I'll host again. We did very well last time. I'll make the appropriate edits to BB and ENG, since it wasn't PP's fault he couldn't join.
In any case that Austria must give up to Brandenburg in "compensation", Austria demands a just return to counter that, as Austria alone should not shoulder such a burden, especially as it was not she who induced such a situation.

BB: 4% inflation reduction or 350 ducats
As for Austria, I'm sure what to do. We have a rule where player nations are off limits when they are being ai run. The ai sometimes attacks other players, but ouyr rule is that we try and make white peace as soon as possible. What is our policy as to restitution for the attacked country? I honestly don;t remember. Whatever we do, I want to be consistent with our past behavior and take into consideration that Jay is new to our game and we didn't exactly lay out the rules for him.

It was Dyno who DOWed me during my war with Stonewall. Dyno had switched from Sweden to Brandenburg the second round of gameplay after our break. Anyhoo, I am done bitching. I trust you guys know what you are doing, and this is loads of fun.

Ohhhh. I didn't realize he was in BB and not Sweden when we rehosted to get him. In that case, I don't believe Austria would be entitled to any restitution since its a player-player war. And BB's edit should be reduced somewhat. Perhaps a 3% inflation reduction or 300 ducats, whichever he chooses.

Absolutely. If its a player initiated war, you can whoop him and take up to three provinces from him if you can manage to do that.
With a player Sweden back in the picture, that might prove to be a difficult task.
And our truce will expire soon. Right about the time Turrenne comes onto the scene. I wonder how that will play out.

Barca has asked for an edit. I'm not sure how I feel about it. If the leader was lost because he was subbing a more important country I would not object. But since it was lost due to a missed session, I have mixed feelings. However, if the group wants the edit, I'm happy to Baner back in. Perhaps as a compromise, we cut 5 years off of his lifespan due to the war wounds suffered in the Russian campaign.
Also, if anyone objects to the edits already done, please speak up. Nobody said anything earlier, so I'm assuming there was no objection.

I just realised that during the war with Russia the AI threw away one of my better leaders, Baner. Since he just spawned a year ago and still has his whole career in front of him I wonder if it would be possible to have him edited back. If he was an average leader I wouldn't care much, but he's something of a differencemaker:
