Wow.. I did not think that we are in such a bad shape.... Me + CC have less troops than Barka by himself...

Question...why my moreale is so low? My land seting is better than Habs's but he has higher morale...What is up with that?

Boy those stats make me want to cry:)

Habs,
Hows your VIctoria game going?? There is a reason I ask. MY Saturday night game died a horrible death but one other player, Gaius Marius I, and my self have been playing the last two Saturday nights together. He is just dying to get into a steady group that will be there every week for a game. I just wondered, if you are looking for players in your slot, he might be a good one.

Barca,
JUst to make it fair this week, I want you to play the whole session with your left hand behind your back. :D

Judging from the troop numbers, I'd say you guys have a very good shot at winning this war (even better if Navarra joins).

PP, the morale is capped at 8.00, and its quite easy to reach if you're at landtech 60. I believe I'm at the cap at half maintenance, so there goes one of my main advantages :(.

Well we will try Barca....we will try :) but I don't think we have a chance. Me and Habs have or had NAVY setting which lowers morale. You did see how your crushed my army last time.

PS.

So what is the scenario for next game? I was thinking to use AGC or 1492...Shuld we have a vote?

Barca,
The forts might be the difference. Especially the maximum ones facing my border. If we can defeat your armies in battle, I think we can knock you down only by sheer attrition warfare. That will be very brutal to pull off. Not to mention the barbaric Bosnians that are also there :D

PP,
While I dont have a huge preference, I do think a 1492 scenario is the way to go. As long as I am not Austria I can play anyone.

I'd like a 1492 PE setup with Historical and Random leaders. But the random leaders we add would have to be overall worse than the ones in this campaign. An average statistic of 3 with a few 4s and a very rare 5.

What is the diffrence between 1492 regular and 1492 PE??

Yes random leaders would be ok as long as lvl 8 or 0 are not there :) I would like to see random provs too. (It would be cool if Spanish or English did not know where are the rich provs to colonize even before they start expolring)...Can we randomize the provs?

PS. as to attrition war we have no chance. Mantua has bigger MP than we do and Bosnia would just put us out of misery..

I forget exactly what changes have been made its been a while, 1492 vanilla is almost never played in MP for some reason though.

I'm against randomizing ROTW tax values and goods as it kinda screws with game balance. If NA provs are grain and Siberia has gold/sugar then you have a slightly messed up game.

PP, I went over to the mods thread to see what the changes were to PE 1492 and 1520. Needless to say, I didnt read through all the vchanges when I copied them over to word because it is 17 pages long :D

So, the changes were extensive and they all seem to be done to enhance the MP game. Remember, 1492 was what we played in our last game.

That is my greatest worry about the upcoming war. Even if the allies could in some way defeat and destroy the million man army how long until the next horde arrives? I have the feeling it will be like playing one of those RTS where the AI cheats on resources and unit buildup :D

PE 1492 will be a nice idea for next game though. Not sure about random leaders/resources. Scenario is balanced to be played in the current settings, and has been tweked over and over for maximum enjoyment. Modifying it could cause undesired results.

Remember Friday night 2? I threw 400k in one army at Esco's 100k army with Napoleon, and got slaughtered. The problem with the current setup is nations like Spain, OE, Portugal, the Netherlands and Poland have no chance in the lategame due to lack of leaders. Random leaders with average statistics would give these nations at least a shot against the likes of Nappy and Nelson.

Barca'm, you tell'm meeb who to whomp'um good!

PE 1492 sounds good, I also like the idea of random resources/leaders, it prevents people from memorizing where to go and what to do and who to wait for to kick ass. However, if people don't like the idea, that's fine as well.

I could accept some random leaders, but not random resources. The reason why russia and OE have lots of cores is because their provinces are poor. Now imagine middle east/siberia full of gold, what balance will that be?

Well, their provinces are poor, and, except in the case of gold and other extremely rich goods, the base tax would still make a difference, right?

I like random leaders because it makes certain nations competitive late game, and helps make uberleaders beatable. Random goods is a cute idea, but too difficult to implement without screwing game balance IMO.

yes, but it makes exploration more fun. You are actualy unsure where to go first to colonize. With the normal game we know that Spanish player will take Mexico and Peru, England will take NA. Portugal Brazil ect... We can't screw the gemae balance more than we did this time :)

but I will go with majority vote...:)
