I like the big letters across the map that says JAPAN - really makes me want to bomb it to bits.

The red and green colored bar probably shows to the extent you and your enemy control a province (or maybe how the battle is going).
I think Red-Blue instead of Red-Green would be better. In military maps, Red color means enemy forces, while blue color means friendly forces.

Am I the first one to notice this?
By 1944, the grand fleets of USA roaming around... AND ONLY ONE PROVINCE VISIBLE!!!
Surely radars, radio listening, aeroplanes-on-ships and other forms of naval intelligence were worthy of at least the visibility for two sea zones by 1944?!?

I know, I know, a beta is a beta but is not this quite an important factor?

Would still be odd to play the Red Army and have the "reds" as enemy...Johan Jung said:I am talking about NATO-standard here.

The ships, tanks and infantry sprites look very cool, but the map (landscape) looks very sad and odd.
Hopefully they add some rocks, palms, trees or things like that as it is in HOI1 to bring more flair to the gamefeeling.

anti_strunt said:Such small graphical details are hardly stuff they should bother with at this early point.A far more important questions is: Were they hey are all the rivers??!
Johan said:I dont see any "rivers" from the window of my office.
I've seen clearly manipulated pictures in books that depicts these so-called "rivers", but they won't fool someone as clever as me.
There are no proofs that "rivers" exist in the world.
"Rivers" goes into the same category as "Round Earth", and "You dont fall off the end of the earth when you sail west across the atlantic".
You see, thats a clever question, but there are turtles ALL the way down.
