French Strategy for the 1914 start.

I've been playing around with France in the WW1 scenario. So far I've only been able to basically hold the Central Powers at Reims, Amiens, and Verdun. A pretty historical situation. I'm wondering what's worked for other people. Has anyone managed to push into Germany?

To be honest,French is overpowered for Human player
I-In a first day of game,send all your colonial troops from North/Central Africa to French Mainland.Re-locate them all to Elsace area.Forget about German colonies,British AI will take them without your support.
II-Begin production of infantry with engineer brigades and militia.
III-When Germany will DoW to Belgium send all your free troops to defend Brussels.Sure,in a first months of war Brussels will fall,so organaize a IInd defence line (Mons-Arlon).Never send your troops to Italy or Egypt
IV-Between 1916 and 1917 Germany will have a minimal manpower.Attack

Took this advice, I actually managed to keep Brussels and launch an offensive which liberated all of Belgium around 1915. The Germans got pushed out of France, but the forts in Alsace proved pretty hard to batter through. Luckily the Germans lost so much on the west that Russia managed to turn the tide, and by 1917 they had stormed Berlin.
