Traditions:
+20% manpower - Just awful, who still uses manpower, mercenaries are much better, specially nowadays.
+1 diplomatic reputation - This is only effective versus the AI, well, who plays with AI?

Ideas:
+1 diplomatic slot - don't see the use of this, one more vassal/PU/alliance isn't never worth it.
+20% land morale - morale isn't important, because it doesn't increase damage or decrease damage received.
+10% tax - Is money even important? BTW Papal taxes are even better.
-50% native chance uprising/+50% native assimilation - Why colonize as France if you can go full BBB and turn Europe into your colony in 1500?
-20% fort mainanance - Who even makes forts?
-10% Tech cost - Just to make the player stack with innovative ideas.
+2 ToHeretics/ToHeathen - Completely ahistorical for pre 1789 France, I can't even RP anymore.

Ambitions:
+5% discipline - another +5% discipline placeholder.

So yeah, these ideas are pretty weak, unplayable. You can't even annex ENG in HYW anymore :( .

20% manpower is hot garbage when you can take quantity for 50% manpower. I mean, you can literally get 2.5 x more by spending 400 mil once. And mercs are so completely broken having infinite manpower that 20% manpower is as useless as +50% drill gain.

We all know that nowadays the Swiss have the best NI because of their space mountaineers mercs. Literally unbeatable.

Yeah, all of France's ideas are basically bland filler ideas. Why can't they have +10% admin efficiency and -75% coring cost? The Mughals get -60% if they take admin ideas, and I think France should be better than the Mughals.

And their Mission Tree is garbage, why does it only give like, 3 PU CB's? SMH my head, France should get PU CB's on any Christian Nation they want, why play them if they can't get free PU's? And no diplo-annexation cost in their ideas? Can't even get Big Blue Blob on Very Easy anymore.

Oman obviously has the best idea set in the game, have you seen that amazing +33% trade steering?

I have a serious question, why is something as trash Overpowered as garrison strength even a national idea? I'd wish they would trim all these garbage horrid OP ideas down to interesting and or at least decent ones.

Fortress + attrition manufactory + naval battery + extra garrison = impenetrable island.
