French claim on the throne of Naples.

Currently there is an event which fires in the 15th century and gives France claims on the provinces of the kingdom of Naples.

This leads to silly scenarios, such as France attacking Naples and only gaining half kingdom, as obviously they can't annex all of it in a single war.

Wouldn't it be better to just give them a Force Union CB rather than claims on the individual provinces?

Would the AI be able to handle it? I mean, is the mere fact of having this particular casus belli strong enough to make AI go to war?

Totally agree. Minor thing but just better in every way, and shouldn't be hard to change.

Keep in mind that it's possible for this event to continue down the chain and cause a PU to simply happen on its own, but yeah simply giving a PU CB makes more sense.
