To: HIMDogson: I actually wonder if the prison at Guantanamo is still standing? Maybe the Cuban's demolished it? Opened the gates and shipped the inmates somewhere? Opened the gates and gave the inmates asylum? Maybe it got blown up with other areas of the base by the Cubans as the American troops came ashore and retook it? Maybe it had already been shut down due to this worlds far different "War on Terror?"
To: MrArkatus: This is a custom made scenario I built using the Hybrid MDS mod for DH version 1.3. I have heavily modified many countries and other files to get this result. For example, ISL is actually just Syria, with new ministers, a new map colour, and a different OOB.
To: Asalto: Thank you very much for this award! I have to say that I don't feel like I really deserve such an honour but I will graciously accept.
Re: military/diplomatic plans: you will all have to wait and see. I don't want to say too much anymore about future war plans as I think I have already stated such things earlier.
To: Everyone: thanks for the comments!
Mopping Up, Part 2
New brigades of airmobile infantry are ready for combat. These units will see alot of combat in the coming campaign in South America.
American ships scouting the northern coast of occupied Colombia discover a major enemy weak point. Whether due to negligence, incompetence, or a lack of enough troops, the enemy has left the coastline of Barranquila unguarded by any significant force. With the main SCO defensive lines vulnerable, the Joint Chiefs decide to take full advantage.
American forces sail from Florida and arrive off the coast of Colombia. They unload on to the beaches and fan out over the area. All of Barranquilla region is secured, cutting off the main SCO defensive lines in southern Panama. With the US Army at their backs, the SCO forces are hit from all sides by a combined allied offensive. The outcome does not look good for the enemy, who are now trapped with no way to escape.
Meanwhile Admiral Andersens Carriers sail around the Caribbean picking off SCO warships whenever he can find them. Here, a small Libyan navy force is blown out of the water in a heavily lopsided battle. Later his fleet also destroys a small number of Russian submarines.
In the north, US and Canadian troops begin to march into mainland Alaska, pushing through the outer layer of SCO defenses in Valdez.
The SCO army that had been guarding the entrance into South America is crushed after several days of heavy fighting. This is a massive blow to the ability of the SCO's South American membership to resist, as many of their best units are now either destroyed or in American POW camps. All of Colombia is now ripe for the taking.
After regrouping and reorganizing for a new offensive, the campaign to liberate Colombia begins. US and Allied forces fan out in all directions, crushing Argentine led SCO forces over and over again. US troops make alot of progress, and it does not take long to reach the outskirts of major Colombian cities like Bogota, Cali, and Medellin. After some heavy fighting for these urban areas, they are all eventually liberated by US and Allied troops.
