Mr. Galloglaigh, I am interested in the party's economic and financial position. The wealth of the nation shall fuel all progress, not the empty rhetoric of the far left.

Hello fellow centrists!

I am the temporary leader and spokesperson for the ERP, EUtopian Reform Party.

My party is centre-left, and more concerned with the human side then the economics. I think if I could convince my party into a coalition with yours, and let you control the economics, public funds, and media and us the healthcare and environment, with the rest for negotiation, we could form a coalition. We will try and remain a party in our own right however, and reserve the right to remove our support, although it is unlikely. If you can drag youself to the left, and I can drag my fellow ERP to the right, we can form a worthwhile coalition, and remedy the sad state of affairs for centrit parties in todays world. Remember, nothing is confirmed and our party must vote on any proposals, as we are, unfortunetly for you, direct democratic;)

hughbartlett,

Our predecessor (the CDA) was pro-health care for citizenry, so we would probably have no problem on that. Our platform, if you notice, is also pro-environmental protection as long as it doesn't crush the economy, so I think we can find common ground there.

So given the grounds you suggest, we're willing to negotiate. As for direct democracy, we'll allow your party to exercise it's conscience on that in a vote on the issue as long as your party doesn't try to override the coalition by proposing a measure we cannot support.

Other issues we can negotiate, I believe, as the political landscape is made clearer for us.

peo,

Then you are free to coordinate with j-l on military policy and/or take the horns of agricultural policy.

To all fellow members of the FR:

You may have noted the recent savaging of our party in the so-called "People's Voice." Obviously we cannot expect anything different from our adversaries. But we can take solace that we obviously threaten them enough to receive the "Big Lie" from them already. If anyone is interested in the truth of the matter, the St Brenden's Times editorial page carries an analysis of every paragraph of their spread, along with the truth as rebuttal.

Your honored servant,
Sean Galloglaigh

hughbartlett,

OOC- Remember, the editor of the St Brenden's Times is not Sean Galloglaigh (and thus is a distinct person NOT a member of the FR). Thus remarks from that entity may or may not be entirely what Sean Galloglaigh thinks.

Mr Hughbartlett,

Where have I made such remarks? If I have overstepped, I apologize. But I don't think I've gone as far as those statements. I've indicated we are talking in these terms, which is true, but I don't think I've gone beyond that. Nor will I until a concrete statement has been agreed upon by both parties' votes.

Mr Vasco,

Technically impossible? Pardon? Have you ever heard of Constitutional Reform? We're sorry if you as a member of the RD feels necessary to redirect the whole course of EUtopian politics yourself. But that doesn't mean that our party can't be committed to this. We are practical enough to realize that we will move towards this in stages. But that doesn't make is "impossible." It wasn't possible for Wilberforce to abolish slavery in the British Empire when he started. But over time, he did. We are willing to be patient. Just because something doesn't look like it will happen TODAY doesn't make it impossible.

Fellow Free Republicans:

Mr StJaBa has informed me that he is not able (OOC-due to RL issues) to serve as editor-in-chief. I would rather not serve in that post, as I would like other members of the party to speak on our issues as well. So if someone wishes to serve as editor of the party paper, please feel free.

Our party in a caucus vote has decided to cancel coalition talks with the FR. (check our HQ) We wish to maintain positive relations, but, even though you claim you are centre-right, really, you are more like the centre of the right. We, as a slight left/centrist party, cannot go into a coalition with a party like this, as it is not towards our views on too many subjects. We wish the FR luck in the up coming elections, but do not rely on support from us; although it may be forthcoming, if the party decides that it is the best option. At this stage however, i personally find your party the most conservative in EUtopia, and our caucus will not support an alliance with a party like yourselves, especially when we are not classified as a party ourselves yet.

Mr Vasco,

What attack? You have a left of center party, they have sought to negotiate with even further left Socialists for "close cooperation," (Your party chair's words). That's hardly consistent with centrist politics. Our party would have been more than willing to form a centrist coalition. Your leadership chose a different path. It's not an "attack" for us to seek the best option available under the circumstances. Nor is it one to point out your party's own actions.

I'm sorry you don't like it, but no apology was necessary, and if anyone should apologize, it's you for barging into our party HQ and accusing me of being insane. There's the door. You have no reason to be here. I would personally prefer it if any future correspondance from your party with ours came from people in a position to make decisions.

Mr Hugh Bartlett.

I'm sorry that you have allowed yourself to listen to the misinterpretations of others regarding our party. We are what we claim to be. Technically the Libertarian are more right-wing than us, as even their "liberal" social policies are arrived at by the conviction that Government legislation should be minimal, a right-wing principle. People simply look at the policies without considering HOW they are arrived at. In any case, we doubt you will receive a better offer from the coming RD-Socialist alliance than you will from us.

Our sincere hope is that you are able to establish yourself as a party in your own right in EUtopia, at that point, we will be willing to chat again.

Dear members of the FR-party.

I have recieved an invitation to join your party. Unfortunately though, it appears that I cannot in good conscience join at this time. The biggest reason for this is your acceptance of the death penalty, I do not believe that the state has the right to kill a person that present no direct physical threat to society. I also believe it is up to the parents to decide wether or not to continue a pregnancy(up to a certain time of course) without anyone questioning their motives.

Best regards
Besuchov - citizen of EUtopia
