So i have been playing as my own country india and going towards freedom the democratic way, and in middle of all this i get dragged into ww2(obviously). But then i gain freedom in the middle of 1943 and i had no way of opting out of the war, im stuck fighting japan in burma with low tech, and just dragging on with a stalemate. I feel there should a branch in the tech tree which deals with opting out of the war and focussing on more regional stuff like the mcmohan line, line of control, etc. If anyone had a different experience with the Raj please share :)

I also think that the people dragged into a AI initiated war should be allowed to peace out and have a truce for set amout of days, what are your thoughts on this ?

If you can exit the Allies you might be able to white peace now? Not sure how independent India works.

This does sound like a possible improvement suggestion for a non-aligned India. The only problem being Japan or Germany might not be interested in what a non-aligned India cares about, depending upon the status of the war.

Sounds like a good post for the suggestion sub-forum then. Give India an option to leave the Allies and drop out of war.

Yeah, even a mod would do, now its just frustrating, i become free, and i am stuck holding jap troops, as I can't even push them back easily because my tech isn't good yet

This past weekend, I tried it multiple times, I really had hoped to be able to get them free as a Non-Aligned or Democracy before the war started. I swear pre-Cornflakes that I was able to get them free in 39 or 40. In the current state of the game, I don't foresee being able to push them into independence before 41. I think by using the Continuous Focus - Gain Autonomy, 41 might be doable. The War never holds off for that long though. If the design was to get independence only AFTER the peace conference, then why even have the focus?

I agree, there is a simple solution to this, just add a decision to gain independence and then some focusses and decision for post independent Indian Peninsula, but I don't think devs will go into that, but a decision to peace out is a must.
