It's 1402. Burgundy declares war on the HRE state Hainut. Their faithful allies, The Holy Roman Emperor, Luneburg come to the aid of their vassal. It's a long and bloody struggle. Burgundy annexes Hainut, and Luneburg is forced to pay 39 ducats in indemnities. Some time passes, and Luneburg vows to liberate Hainut for their Burgundian opressors. They will need funding. Luneburg becomes a trader nation. They take out loans, and in 1404, they fund the first rebellion in Hainut. It is put down. However, they do it again. This time they take the city, and move on to another province. The armies of Burgundy try to retake the city, but rebels forced to flee from France defeat the Burgundian forces. By 1406, 2 new countries declare independence from Burgundy. Hainut, and...Revolutionary France.
