Nutty Savoyards... why would they go for Presburg?

Good luck reconquering it. Hopefully the save won't lose itself this time. ;)

Well, there was what you´d call a 'savoyard expeditionary corps' that single-handidly captured Presburg, and when i annexed Austria, the got it

This screenshot is taken just before I turned on Hungary, triggering a series of beautiflu badboy wars that made me close the game without having saved my austrian conquest :(

Knocks Mr. Capitalist over the head with stick,

*Knock*

Thisis EUI, not EUII. Anyone who plays EUII is a traitor to paradox and is... ummm... ummm... endangering the swedish neutrality policy!

The battle was long and bloody, the air was filled by the screams of both men and horses, you couldn´t tell friend from foe, you just thrust your blade into something.

The Helvetians were tightly pressed together when the two french wings encircled them, they fought with the tenacity that marks a desperate people, that day, the french flag flew proud over Lyonnaise, and it was a major victory for Foix and the french arms.
- The search of the nuff, 1799 edition

[1 January]
Foix looked up, despite his heavy coat and a his fur he froze. Around him were even more cold soldiers, and further away was the fortress of Bern, towering up over the valley. A lone bird flew up into the air and headed away. Foix wished that he could do the same.
'The worst part' he thought 'is that until we reache the legendary Himalayas, there will be no end to this'.

He rose and walked into his small tent, he needed some sleep.

Look I resent that very much. Eu was $9.99 and Eu2 was $14 so I figured since Eu2 was supposed to be bigger why spend $24 if I liked Eu so I simply went and bought Eu2.

Shoulda got them both.

What swedish neutrality policy?

Why Are Gummy fish called Swedish Fish?

Nice Update.

Guisan sighed, it was cold, it was wet, it was snowy. Frankly, it was hell.
He laughed at the thought of snow in hell, then reality caught up with him. The thin colonel that was Guisan coughed twice and made it back into one of the houses.

He sat down on a small stool next to a table. He hated his life. Maps of the french siege were spread out in front of him, yet they were no more then a network of trenches rapidly approaching Bern. he knew them by heart now, for he had studied them during the entire day, trying to find a weak point in the french lines.

Guisan got up again and walked out. With a splattering sound, another pig landed in the fortress, mud was spewed up into Guisans face, he stumbled backwards and fell flat into the mud.

- If it was to continue like this... he thought ...we will all sooner or later be in need of a bath.

Foix stepped out of his tent. He froze, he was stiff, and his hair was in a mess. Not that he cared for his hair, bu he was that type that NEEDED something to complain about. His only comfort was the Guisan must have it much worse than him.

Foix entered the command tent. Inside were several lower ecelon commanders standing. They all knew what was coming.
- Gentlemen. Foix said. We will storm the fortress.
Outside, lightning struck and rain begun to fall.
- Surely, Field marchal do you not intend to storm the fortress while it is raining?
- I do not give a damn about the darn weather! The king wants to see results. And when the king wants to see results, he will get results. UNDERSTOOD!?

Foix stepped out of the tent and left four colonels behind.
- Well? One of them said,
- Our troops must get in the trenches, order them to dig their way forward as they never have done before. We will show those Swiss that they are alive... But not for long.

[Paris]

Charles leaned himself against a pillar and looked out into the garden. For once, the sun shone over Paris. He coughed and walked away. He took a route through a corridor that he was certain didn´t hold any secret rooms or secret corridors. He knew this castle like his own pocket.

- Well? A voice boomed.
- Damn! I should get a map of my own pocket! Charles mumbled.
- I said 'well?'
- The troops are preparing to storm the fortress.
- STORM?!
- Yes. We must take it quickly, the english are probing for a weak point and...
- You fool! They will all be slaughtered like chickens!
- But I...
- You have brought my wrath down on you, but for France, you will live until such time as I see fit. From now on, you live on borrowed time, Charles!

The voice dissapeared and left a trembling Charles, who descided to go to bed early today.

The same evening, a dark wagon with its windown covered rushed through the streets of Paris, going south in a speed that would have made the biblical Jehu* jealous.
