Hello Mankind!

I play as Germany (mom think I am a nzi everytime I do that lol  ) (C.O.R.E), just tooked Poland (took me 3 weeks=) and now I am att. France.
France has that magginot (how do I spell that) line which is hard to "crush".
So? Head for Belgium and go around. I have done that now. Usually when I take France, I try to starve them out (magginot).

1. But is it possibly to attack the magginot line directly? Everytime (tried 2 times lol)I try to do that i lose and have to retreat. Usually with some 20 german div.

2. Prefer "Total annexion of France" or "Create Vichy"?

3. The britts attacked (for the first time actually, C.O.R.E. has better A.I., eh,I think...) Könisberg with 15 div. (!) which is much for england in 1939. They did that 4 times (e.g. with smaller size of div.) I may send out the fleet, but I don't know if it is very smart. Do you guys?

It is pretty much a non-starter to try attacking the Maginot line frontally. You can take them down if you swing around through Luxembourg to Metx and then hang a south to isolate the other two Maginot provs, Colmar and Strasbourg. But I am guessing that is what you meant by "starve them out", so you prolly already knew that.

It's a toss up, depending on my strategy, as to which I prefer. Total conquest allows you fortify those three beach provs on the Med around Marseilles, where the Allies can easily invade if they decide to stomp Vichy. The Vichy AI never defends them properly. It also net yous slightly more manpower but at the cost of lower resource "from puppets". Even more important for some strategies is that is gives you a port on the Med without having to wait til you conquer Yugoslavia. Going with Vichy gives you better resource output and gives you a quick knockout, so you can get your forces deployed earlier to hit your next target. The time saved can sometimes be very important for getting a good start attacking the Soviets.

I generally don't. I just send my tac and dive bombers in for support when the AI tries to attack me near the French front. But if the AI is sending that large a force that early, then you might consider retreating and then encircling the attackers, because it sounds like the Brits are sending pretty much their entire army. Destroy it while encircled and you should have an easy time later with Sealion and/or a grab for N. Africa.

The only hope France has to survive is a German attack against Maginot line.
For the hell, why do you want to choose this way, your going to loose.......

Historically, the Germans wheeled through Belgium and the Ardennes (Chaumont province), which the Allies regarded as impassable to tanks and therefore had left weakly defended.
