France AI in Vicky 2

In Vicky: Revolution, the AI of France is ridiculously retarded. 9 out of 10 times when I played as countries other than France or Prussia, I found France did not build even 1 mile of railway and soon fell to No.7 or No.8, behind Russia, Italy, Japan, and sometimes Austria. But in reality, France was still among the world top 4 when WWI broke out. I guess such AI behavior setting is due to that Paradox wants Germany to win the Franco-Prussian War; but there should be better ways to realize it, other than making France so dumb.

So my question is: will the AI of France be smarter than in Vicky 1?

That's not strictly an AI issue; it's actually a capitalist issue, since France is Interventionist at the beginning (IIRC). I believe it also happened to Austria, and (rarely, but I have seen it) the USA and Britain would also sometimes have capitalist shutdowns. It's quite a tricky and odd bug, but hopefully they'll have fixed it in Vicky 2.

They didn't build enough rails and they never built enough navy. But they still colonized Africa just fine without one.

Hopefully this should be fixed with the generic and more sensible Clauswitz AI.

i believe there's a bug with the French capies. i heard they would gather up to 10,000 in cash without building any thing. it will not be a huge problem.

And, there was an unofficial hot patched from OHgamer that helped that issue a bit. It's an excellent hot patch. For some reason, people will not use it because it did not come from the Paradox development team. Silly notion, really.
