After the update the other day I received a major drop in frames once I loaded my game. I disabled/deleted all of the mods that I had on and still wasn't running like normal. I went into my NVIDIA control panel to make sure I was using my dedicated graphics, I was. After much frustration I Reinstalled the game, and am still running with low fps. I have no idea what to check/do at this point. Any help would be much appreciated.

I did notice a big increase in traffic after 1.1. Maybe you just have drops from heavy traffic now?

You seem to be running a laptop, which are low powered to begin with. Maybe you just hit a critical point in the game coincidentally?

How big is your city? What are your laptop's specs?

Since I had so many mods I started a second city from scratch and was dropping frames right off the bat.

GPU: GeForce GT 750M

How can you tell you're dropping frames if your town isn't even growing?

Are you sure you have no malware? How old is this install?

The GT 750m is a little on the weak side, but you should be doing okay on a new city.
I can also know I've dropped frames because before when I started my city and let it grow I had no trouble with FPS, Now just on a startup it lags. Very irritating.

It would be nice to have fps numbers. It makes it easier to diagnose your issue.

But if you have lag on new game and empty map, then you have driver issues. At least that is the only time it has given me issues in that fashion.

Install the latest drivers and make sure you check the perform clean install so it wipes all config files. Also uncheck 3D and HDMI audio if you don't use them.

Are you rebooting your computer after these test? Or just let it sleep? It's very important to shutdown often. Sleep causes so many issues over time.

I actually figured out the problem a few hours ago. It was a driver issue, the latest driver released a couple days ago seemed to be the problem, never noticed because I had only been playing CS, but later on found a drop in all my games. I backed up to the previous driver and am now running at normal speeds. Thanks for your help though!

I don't know about my FPS, but I also noticed a massive performance drop and I don't know why. In only have 40.000 citizen and everything is super slow-mo, there isn't a change anymore when I try to speed up the game because everything is lagging. Wasn't there before the patch.
I can run GTA V fluently without any problems, so I think my specs aren't to low for that. o.o
