Playing on Historical.
I did manage to bring Italy into my Faction before they could join Germany as a Monarchist (Ferdinand I) Bulgaria doing priority B-line on "Fate of the Balkans". At the same time I had Greece also in my own Faction and even managed to make Greece a Puppet by Decisions.
After a little bit of time I realized suddenly, that Greece, which was supposed to be my puppet, was fighting a war without me. Then I noticed - they were suddenly not longer my puppet and were in the Allies. Italy was also no longer in my Faction but in the Axis.
I did not get any notification of Italy or my own puppet leaving my faction.
So I guess it is a bug.
