Found a hint to Sulla which could hint at things like the social wars. Important or meaningless?

So Trin Tragula atm is using an avatar named Emperor Sulla. I wonder whether that's important with regard to the game or whether they just have taken inspiration from various important poeple from the era for the avatars.
I also remember a dev talking about the social wars being really interesting in another thread, so this might be a hint that some kind of rebellions like those are possible. Or it might hint at a later start date, but that's much less likely as it'd be too close to 14 AD presumably plus Johan seems quite hostile to multiple start dates.

Good, because as the end date will be around 14 AD, I may want to accelerate the Roman going-on in the Mediterranean, create the empire of 14 AD early, around maybe 140 BC, and switch to an emperor-style dictatorship at the earliest "historically plausible" moment, so I can enjoy some emperor shenanigans before the game ends.

Sulla would be the perfect man for the job. Or perhaps Marius. Someone in power at a time of great social upheaval, with a big army and a complete and total disregard for the laws of the republic. The kind of man who would encamp his army outside Rome as he stood for election to Consul, so the senate know there will be consequences if he isn't elected

IMO title of imperator should not be translated as emperor in the context of the game, yes emperor originated from imperator, but they have different meanings depending on the time period. To the Romans imperator just meant "commander"; its connection to monarchism started becoming a thing only in the 9th century when it was given to Charlemagne.

Really? That's great, but by whom? AFAIK when it comes to expanding your borders the game will be as fleshed out as EU IV. That is, independent of what really happened in history your main way of expansion is declaring wars and taking provinces directly, not allying yourself with surrounding tribes to create an abomination that was Roman Italy until the social wars

How is that a lie?

You could be Imperator in the Roman Republic and you could be Imperator in the Roman Empire. What I find questionable is using the title "Emperor" before the fall of the Roman Republic (and the beginning of the imperial period). Sulla the Fortunate was an imperator; a general and a dictator, but not an emperor. Although in some languages there is no distinction between imperator and emperor, which could be the reason for "Emperor Sulla" in the description.
