So it was perfectly fine up until, say, 13th of May or so? Then this suddenly happened?
How would you describe the slowness ; is it when you click on a link to a thread or post, say, that it takes a long time to come up? But it does come up eventually (or get that error you posted above)? If you refresh a page f5 does it re-load OK?
Somewhere around about then, yes. Maybe a tad earlier, I'm not precisely sure.
Slowness. When I try to enter the forums it will either take several tens of seconds for
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php to load or the browser's page loading symbol will disappear and the page will be white, meaning the browser thinks it's been loaded but nothing has actually been downloaded.
Once I get to
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php I open all links in new tabs because since the probability of failure is high I don't want to lose whatever progress I've made. Thus, I'll right-click on the link to this forum and open it in a new tab. One of three things will happen:
1. The page will load after an excessive time (tens of seconds).
2. It will simply stop loading and the page will be white.
3. Regardless of the forum URL I was trying to open it will revert to
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php. That page may or may not load. Either way I kill that tab, go back to the previous one and try again.
If and when I make it to this forum I rinse and repeat to open this thread. So far my record is nineteen minutes just to get to the point where I can read your latest response.
The error popup I posted earlier seems to be related to server timeouts for automated forum functions. It's happened twice today, once when I clicked Reply on your post and it timed out trying to load your text as quoted material, and also when the forum tried to autosave this post.
