I noticed that on user profile pages the "Postings" tab only includes posts made after the update, but "Latest activity" lists activity from before the update, including posts made. Since "Latest activity" can display the posts they should obviously be in the index, so I'm not sure why they're not showing up under the "Postings" tab or with the search function.

Maybe there's some weird functionality at play here that I can't understand.

XenForo's internal architecture is indeed weird and exciting.

(Source: I frequent another XenForo-based web forum, and the technical staff, who actually create and sell XenForo extensions, have replied to some perfectly reasonable feature requests for the forum with what amounts to "No, because that part of the code is made of tentacles and hate.")

Why is it that every single UI update i see recently on the web or in software makes things worse...

PS: Among other issues, i would also like to see the delete button back in EVERY forum.

Not every single update anywhere.
Nah, the ones in recent years are more upsetting.
Now they are maybe less ugly, but appear dumber and unintuitive.
Yes, even than MS Office.

Additonaly you get no warning anymore.
It's just boom there it is, our wonderful (buggy as hell) product got an even more exciting graphical update.
Live with it, dear cutomer.

I didn't have enough coffee yet...
What i get most annoyed by, is that there are changes everywhere, often unnnecessary, all of which one has to
get accustomed to and that is costing energy, time and nerves. To me it often feels initially like harassment.

Still, sorry for this unproductive post. You others are doing a good job.

Something sounds weirdly broken there, since the phone layout is fully landscape vs portrait aware.

If I hold my phone in a portrait orientation, I get avatars above posts; if I hold it in landscape, I get avatars alongside posts. In both cases, the full width of the screen is being used.

Okay, I did a reset in Firefox for the page zoom that seems to have helped a lot.

I am now using the default text size.

Is there any way to make icons larger without making text larger?

There's als a small button in the very bottom left corner called toggle width. That'll make the posts take up as much screen real estate as possible.

Still need access to my keyboard/trackpad if I want to react with anything but like on my Pixel slate. Why did we go with a hover/popup?

Is the lack of a quote button on posts in closed threads new?

I had disabled my css trickery I use on this forum to make it bearable to use temporarily for the above screenshots. Not sure if the toggle width option actually remembers the option you have or if it will revert back to skinny-minny mode randomly after some time.

edit: I see embedding images also get rewritten to the janky media tag too instead of being nicely placed inline in the page as they used to be. Another step backwards in my book.

Upvoting for bug report forums and suggestions forums

Players are not always publishing its suggestions on the suggestion forum, can the moderators do some periodic housekeeping and move the suggestions posts to the suggestions forum?

Can we have a Most viewed default filter like Most Popular to list the threads most viewed in the suggestion forum?

Can we have a Trending default filter for the most voted and viewed for the last 7 days? (First you rank per votes and in case of equal votes, by views) in the suggestions forum.

Can we have a Questions and Answers forum for players questions to be answered by other players? Or its place is in the main forum?

The option only works for collapsible side navigation, what you highlighted is neither collapsible nor is it side navigation. This forum doesn't use Side Navigation on any of it's pages so the setting isn't broken, it's just irrelevant/unusable.

Don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when I try to search the forums, I do not get any returns older than 48 hours.

When I'm using the search function, its usually because I'm trying to find an older thread I need to reference again (modding threads for example), and the fact that the search function gives me no returns older than 48 hours makes the search completely useless.

We do that when we notice them but we can't be everywhere all the time. If you see one please hit the Report link on the first post in that thread.

Most games do have a "Quick Questions" thread for that purpose. Feel free to start one in other game forums if you wish!
