I would like to request that an additional "rating" be added to the current trio of Helpful, Agree, and Respectfully Disagree. This would be a Platypus "rating", using the Paradox platypus icon. This should not be usable by normal users, only devs and others who have the switch to make their posts trigger the dev post thread icon.
The purpose of this would be for use in suggestion threads. Earlier this week, Trin Tragula posted this regarding the EU4 suggestions subforum:
This resulted in a bit of confusion, as some posters had no idea that it was still possible to see who had given ratings to posts anymore, after the option to view that on the post itself had been removed.
What my suggestion of a dev-exclusive Platypus rating would do is allow the devs to place a distinct mark on a post instead of using the Helpful rating, making it clear to all that a dev has seen and read that post. Having even the most minimal confirmation that the devs are reading the suggestions posted would make the suggestion subforums feel far more useful, not just a way to keep the request threads from cluttering up the main forums.
This could serve in the same way in the bug report subforums, letting posters know that a dev has seen their bug report, without requiring them to type out a response. The time saved would be small, but I'd imagine it could add up.
Also, I don't know if this bit is possible, but if alerts could be enabled for this rating specifically, I think that would be nice, and the issue of alert spam that existed with the other ratings wouldn't be an issue for this one.

I read it every day and I know Jake does it often too.It moves very quickly though so often replies can fall off the first page within a day or so.
We also use the "vote helpful" function to show the OP that we've read his/her suggestions.
