Forum is extremely slow

What configurations is that? Seems weird that only some external computer issue should affect it? I have no problem on my iPhone, work station (WinXP and occational a W7 computer) or home (W7). It puzzled me, and if you know something about the reasons, I'd love to learn more of it.

No,I meant to say I'd figured it had something to do with individual configs and browser preferences or location,since it seems to be consistently loading quickly for some but very slowly for others: sorry for the misunderstanding.

In my case it's independent of the time at which I visit the forum,it's always slow. I did notice that all vBulletin forums seem to load slower than normal for me,though not as much as this one. All other sites work perfectly fine.

I think it is just a matter of timing. If you happen to online at the same time as a large part of the community, you will constantly have a slow connection.
Yesterday was dreadful though, due to the release of Magicka I must guess. Good that the game attracted that much interest, but it nearly crashed the forum.
We had to go in and manually kill some search queries in the database to gain access to it again.

I want this mod to be installed just as much as you guys, or more!

Paradox must be expanding in the US a lot. The forum is quite okay in the CET-mornings, gets bad in the early afternoons, and I don't even bother with checking late-afternoons/evenings any more!

I can live very well without search, as long as it keeps the forum up!

Painfully slow all day today. I forgot Magika just came out, so that is probably why, but for me: slow enough to be virtually unusable (I read three pages from a book waiting for this screen to load just so I could post this)

Yes, in the evening it still very slow

Yes, seems the disabling of search helped a bit, but the servers are still overburdened at the peak times.

Yeah, i stopped doing that when our american friends start logging in... but i still do it sometimes when it goes fast.

Ok, good news! The tech stuff is starting to sort itself out, and I now have a database wizard who has started to install the mod in a test forum.
So.. things are still bad, but progress!
