The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

“The great successes made this year, comes on the back of a good few years of real hardship for a lot of people in this country. And you might feel, as I do, that our nation is being sorely tested. It is… It is. But hardship like this can act to bring us together, despite political differences and economic strife. I have a powerful belief that all those who live in this great nation of ours can play a part as we pick our way through our current troubles, and that even in the midst of adversity, we must have faith that there is a better path ahead. Actions taken by this government to rectify our economy over the past year have met with astonishing success. We have reduced the economic pressure facing the average citizen by reducing fuel bills. And no longer shall able people get money for free with the introduced of the Work for Welfare scheme. Progress may be slow, our nation may not be the mightiest and the challenges facing our country are great. However, that idea of faith and hope of a better tomorrow must endure. Thank you."

-An address to the nation by Nigel Farage in front of 10 Downing Street

The Federal Republic of Germany

The police action currently being undertaken by the Bundeswehr in Greece is a limited military intervention and is not, despite the Russian President's attempts to claim otherwise, any sort of imperialist endeavor. Our armed forces will remain in Greece only as long as it takes to restore the Hellenic Republic and ensure that Greece upholds its commitments to its creditors and to the European Union. Once there is a stable, democratic government in Greece, the Bundeswehr will withdraw and return sovereignty to the Greek people, where it belongs. Germany has not at any point threatened Russia's sovereignty or territorial integrity with this police action, as any reasonably bright child with a map will quickly realize.

Later this year, Germany shall introduce legislation in the European Parliament to promote further fiscal austerity and pro-business pragmatism. For too long, Europe has languished under the specter of financial decline, in part due to bloated welfare spending and insufficient encouragement for domestic business. We must act decisively to end this decline, through mutual endeavor and continental unity, lest we collapse entirely under the weight of our entitlements.

We thank the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Turkey for their statements of support and friendship. We also congratulate President-elect Walker on his successful campaign and look forward to productive cooperation with the United States in the future. Our own federal elections begin in September of this year; while I will not be standing for a third term, I am pleased to endorse the honorable representative of Kulmbach, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, as the Christian Democratic Union's candidate for Chancellor. During my tenure, I have worked tirelessly to reverse Germany's downward slide into fiscal ruin; it is my firm belief that Herr Guttenberg will do the same and return Germany to greatness.

~ Guido Westerwelle, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

Brazilian Republic

It is with great pleasure that I come before the Brazilian People today to address the growth of our great nation. Throughout this past year, we have seen great growth in the GDP of the nation, particularly through the efforts of our Legislature that have requisitioned funding to assist business owners throughout our countries, particularly in the cities of Brasilia and Sao Paulo. This has increased the overall GDP for the country, as well as increasing long-term business creation and industrial growth.

We have also seen gains in regards to our national defense capabilities. Large-scale military exercises in the central regions of the Amazon Forest revealed our strengths and weaknesses in military deployment and maneuvers. From our successes here, we have formed the National Republican Guard, the most capable single military force on the whole of South America, and a contender for one of the single best fighting forces in the world. This increases the Republic's capabilities in defending our nation from outside invaders, which ensures our sovereignty and independence in such a turbulent time.

In regards to foreign affairs, I and my colleagues applaud the German Chancellor's efforts in stamping out fascism in their attempt to restore democracy and representative government in the turmoil-induced nation of Greece. I only hope that loss of life can be minimized as freedom and liberty are restored to the Greek people.

~ Michel Temer, President of the Brazilian Republic

Thirty years have passed since the revolution that threw the reds onto the streets, and finally we have reached a point where true capitalism shall be introduced. It is this day that great change will begin. No longer will Poland be a miserable puppet of the European Union, which tatters on the edge of falling into utter socialism. We will make demands. We will press and press, and if our demands cannot be met, we will have to say goodbye. The Euro was introduced just before we took power, but it will be our priority to bring back the independent Polish currency that we deserve. We will no longer be a state of welfare, donations and tax rates that kill the economy. We will let the free market bloom. We will purge out those institutions that waste tax payers money and that are meant to fill the pockets of the government with gold. It is our time – the new generation has grown up, and power is in our hands. We will return true Polish virtues of God, Honour and Bravery. No longer will the inefficient healthcare system consume our hard earned money. No longer will twenty per cent tax rates kill off any small or large businesses in our nation. No longer will we subsidize failing businesses or idiotic public industry that generates no profit, but serves only to create lucrative jobs for those who are in the good books of the corrupt government. Under the leadership of the Congress of the New Right a new Poland will arise, independent of the shackles that have bound it to the ground for so long.

-Mieczyslaw Burchert, Leader of the Congress of the New Right and the newly elected Prime Minister of Poland.

The European Economic League
Today I come before you and say what we already know. The European Union has failed. The European project has failed to promote stability and security, as we can see in Spain. It has failed to promote growth, as every nation in Europe knows. But most importantly, it has failed to promote peace, as witnessed by the current war in Greece.

I stand before Europe offering a way out. A way to escape from the inefficiency, wastage and bureaucracy. An opportunity to throw off the undemocratic ways or the organisation, reclaiming the sovereignty lost in years gone by. We must destroy the volatile shackles of the European Union!
Today, I announce the creation of the European Economic League. Based around trade, promoting cooperating, economic growth and economic stability among its members. The basic aims and details of the EEL are listed in the Treaty of London. Member states may debate further policy after they have joined.

Treaty of London

1. A full Customs Union shall be created between member nations
2. There shall be a common Agricultural and Transport Policy among members
3. A council composed of a relevant minister from each member country shall meet every 6 months to discuss policy. Each member shall have 1 equal vote.
4. The EEL shall never evolve into anything more than a customs union
5. Only democratic nations that wish to preserve peace and liberty are eligible to join

We invite the nations of Europe to come to a conference being held in London about joining the EEL. This may be our only chance to save Europe from the abyss of the EU and return her to prosperity once more. Thank You.

The 2021 Federal Parliament Elections of the Federal Republic of Germany

When Westerwelle's FDP, the Liberal party of Germany, achieved astonishing results in 2017, it was only a short lived success. With continued economic struggle and many questioned laws according to tax codes and the Police Actions in Greece, many questioned the FDP in 2021 and reelection was unlikely. Thus Westerwelle hoped the German people would vote for another similarly minded Chancellor, Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg, albeit he was from the CDU, the Christian-Democratic Party of Germany.

Theodor zu Guttenberg engaging in a political show in 2020
After having lost popularity in 2011, due to a scandal where it was found out that his doctorate in law had significant cases of plagiarism, he resigned from the office of Minister of Defence, despite Angela Merkel not wanting him to do so. In the years from 2016 to 2017 he worked to get back a title of doctorate in law and handed in another work, which was tested multiple times and no flaws could be found. Zu Guttenberg then appeared back into major politics in 2018, claiming he had managed the "long path back" and would become a major politican, and then was, due to his Popularity elected Chancellor-candidate of the CDU in 2020, after Angela Merkel proclaimed she would not become candidate again.

But not only the FDP had lost its power in the years from 2013 to 2021, the SPD, the Social Democrats, had continued the downwards trend it had started in the 21st Century and after Chaos and internal rivalries, it lost many voters to both the Green Party and the Party of the Left, "die Linke".
These events led to the Election of 2021, wherein 3 Parties saw their chance to become the biggest fraction in the Parliament, "die Linke", "die Grünen" and the CDU. The other parties that would become important coalition partners were the Spd, and the Pirate Party, a party that was founded after a trend against internet-control laws and gained increasing success in a low time of years, opting for more direct and more transparent Democracy.

Thheodor zu Guttenberg was not the only one rallying support though, and "die Grünen", although being the Green Party had a Chancellor-candidate who many Germans felt might even be the better Chancellor in Financial politics, Jürgen Trittin. This was mainly because Trittin, who had a degree in Socio-Economics was known for his realism in the often too ideologic Green party due to the Subject he had studied and was by many seen as someone who could lead germany out of the Budget crisis.

Trittin starting his campaign in the Spring of 2020

The last contester to the title of Chancellor was Katja Kipping, a compared to the other 2 Candidates with an age of 42 years, relatively young and appealed, due to her long engagement in Politics of the left. She had started her political career and her aim was to draw the Young People of the Federal Republic, who were thinking of themselves much more as European and were protesting against the war with Greece. A plan that turned out quite well, gaining her much support on the cost of the Pirate Party, which also relied on the Young Voters.

Katja Kipping in 2007, on the early days of her career.
Another Party that had gained voters was the NPD, the Nationalist Party, by many also called a home to the neo-nazis, but could due to its program not be legally banned. The increase of anti-europeanism and militarism following the intervention in Greece increased their support by quite a large amount, almost doubling their members between 2015 and 2020.
The Party Programs were quite different and as no Party hoped to gain absolute Majority a consent would have to be found after the Election. A new term was also forged during the Election, as Theodor zu Guttenberg said: I am not against Greece, i am simply "pro-Democracy" - This led to Katja Kippings sentence: "You are not pro-democracy, you are pro-debt, while the Left Party will set, if elected an immediate end to these repressions, as we are pro-people. "
In short, the Party's 2021 Ideas and Goals:

CDU (Theodor zu Guttenberg)
- Pro-Democracy
- Pro-Military
- Social Conservatism
- Lowering of National Debt
- pro Nuclear Energy & Fusion Energy Tests

The Green Party (Jürgen Trittin)
- Balanced Budget
- Continued Innovation
- Sustainability is a priority
- Closing Fiscal loopholes
- Pro-People
- Strong EU support

The Social-Democratic Party
- pro minimum-Wage
- Lowering of National Debt
- undecided on Greece
- increase of unemployment benefits

The Party of the Left (Katja Kipping)
- Pro-People
- Anti-Nato
- Anti-Militarism
- Strong Eu support
- Minimum Wage

The Pirate Party
- Allowing Federal Referendums
- Education Reform
- Freer Copyright
- "Transparent Democracy"

The NPD
- Anti-Nato
- Anti-EU
- Militarism
- Anti-Immigration

The Outcome

On the 16th of September the offices opened in schools of Germany and for a German election the strong differences in parties cause a unusually high rate of voters, summing up for a total of 83%. After having accounted all the papers, the new Bundestag would have 627 Mandates for the Parties. This resulted in the following distribution of seats:

The Result was that the President of the Federal Republic had ordered Theodor zu Guttenberg to form a Government, however should he fail to do so, a coalition consisting out of SPD, the Left and the Green Party could become the Government and elect Trittin as Chancellor. Currently no one even considers an alliance with either of the NPD or the Pirate Party, as both of those parties are deemed "unfit to be in government" by the other Parties.

Forming a coalition that has over 50% of the Bundestag behind him will be a serious Problem for Theodor zu Guttenberg, and for now there is much debate whether he will be able to do so, and if he can do it, with who will he align?

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

We congratulate the German people on a peaceful and successful election. We hope that any future government will bring about a swift peace in Greece as we are becoming increasingly concerned with the on-going war there. In other foreign issues, we would also like to congratulate the United States and President Scott Walking in his successful election. I hope that the special bond between our two nations will only grow stronger in the coming years.

The Trials of Francois Hollande

After five years as President of the French Republic, Francois Hollande, faced stiff opposition in the presidential and parliamentry elections of 2017 due to the utter failure of Hollande and men like him in Europe and the world in preventing the second economic crisis in ten years. Hollande had been fairly popular in the year leading up to the election due mostly to his stabilizing of the French economy through government bond sells that although critisized by his opponents as a band aid on a bleeding artery were celebrated by socialists, immigrants, and much of the youth.

The economic crisis of 2017 changed everything for Hollande and his Parti socialiste. France found it increasingly difficult to pay off its mounting debt due mostly to a stuborn anti-austerity policy that forced the sell of greater and greater numbers of government bonds to Germany. Hollande fought hard for his second term in 2017 but his party lost the Senate and nearly lost the majority in the National Assembly. Vowing to never reject his ideals he continued fuel the economy with bond sells and retained the social programs that had become an inherent right of all French citizens.

French President Francois Hollande campaigning in 2017

Two thousand seventeen proved to unstable and the people were too agitated for a honeymoon period, France, was experiencing riots and mass demonstrations numbering in the hundreds of thousands. During the Summer of 2017, unemployment was skyrocketing and gradually anti-austerity movements gave way to more moderate forces who voiced outrage at France's growing dependence on debt and Germany to protect the economy. Socialism was still very much alive and well by the end of 2017 but a new movement for removing some regulation and lowering taxes that were growing every year emerged from older generations, traditional conservatives and libertarians, and some youth.

French-youths-clash-with--008.jpg

Rioting in Paris, June of 2017

Following the turbulence of the previous year, 2018, saw some peace from the relentless waves of demonstrations but still on May Day, a million socialists marched in Paris and two months later a smaller but quite large mass threatened the Palais Bourbon calling for the resignation of Francois Hollande and a new election. In November of 2018, feeling confident in their support in the electorate the UMP and its partners attempted to pass a vote of no confidence against Hollande. Led by their leader Ribert Durand the UMP lost the call and Hollande surprisingly dissolved the National Assembly and fresh elections were held to replace them.

Expecting a victory and a renewed mandate from the people to continue his policy, Hollande and the PS were shocked when the UMP and National Front together were elected to a majority over the socialists. Although the neither party had sought one another's help they had indirectly thrown the socialists from power in parliament. The aftermath was a government in paralysis as Hollande was forced to appoint as Prime Minister, Ribert Durand, and by doing so surrendered considerable influence to the UMP. Two and a half years of cohabitation has seen conservative reforms with the economic policies of the nation including the rebalancing of the budget by transfering some of the burden of paying for state activity from the wealth tax to the VAT in 2020. Several months later requirement for licenses were suspended for small businesses, immigrants were provided double the time to find work than before, and benefits to non-citizens were totally cut.

The success of Durand's domestic policies and his anti-Union stance has made him fairly popular with the electorates that he maintains through his notable talent of communication and rhetoric.

As President Walker took the stage, many wonder what his legislative agenda would be...

"My fellow Americans, as many of you know the past 12 years have been witness the decline of America's presence on the world stage. I hear to tell you that will change with my presidency. In order to do so we must first restore competitiveness to our national economy.
To accomplish this task, I will ask the Congress to aid me in the passage of four keys bills aimed at this goal. First, the healthcare mandate passed under President Obama must be reformed, it simply costs too much and does not address the driving costs of healthcare. As such tort reform is major issue that must be examined. We must also reduce the burdensome level of regulation that shackles American productivity and industry, so that it can compete in the global marketplace. As part of this, we must take away some of the powers of unions, who have for too long abused their position for their own ends. And final, tax reform. The Income Tax System must be reformed, loopholes must be closed and deductions capped at $50,000.00, this will reduce the morass that is the Federal Income Tax and streamline tax collection, potentially opening the door to tax reductions in the future.

Italian History 2012-2021

The Republic of Italy in 2012 was running a heavy recession period, with its industry shrinking and people becoming poorer and poorer.

The man who was supposed to solve everything, Prime Minister Mario Monti, only raised taxes to an incredible 55%, the highest taxation in the world.

mario-monti2-large.jpg

Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti after a meeting in Bruxelles

The people were strained at its limits, and Beppe Grillo, leader of the Five Star Movement, threw gasoline on the fire, and gaining an astonishing 16% in the Goverment Elections of 2013, and a significative presence in parliament.

beppe-grillo-antonio-di-pietro-2-770x513.jpg

Beppe Grillo during a speech in Piazza del Popolo, Rome

Strikes were common, but useless, until a major strike occurred in October 2014, with 500.000 people blocking access to Rome. No one could enter by car or by any other means until the government would accept to be dismissed and a new parliament voted, and anyone with more than 5 Millions of € wouldn't be able to be elected.
At first, the goverment took it lightly, thinking of it as a manifestation out of control, but after 3 days no one left the positions, and the ranks of the revolutionaries increased to 850.000 people.

After six weeks, the city was on its knees, and more and more people joined the insurgents, thanks to their leader, Stefano Matteotti (Relative of the famous '20 Italian politic who opposed Mussolini's Fascism) being able to convince them that the enemy was the government, not them.

On the 19th December 2014, the government left the Parliament, and new representatives were elected.

Needless to say, with the 5 Mil € Patrimony limit, the majority was socialist, and under 50 years.

Under the "Nuovo corso" (Resembling the American's 1930 "new deal") the economy recovered, and the GDP went from -4.3% to -0.8% growth, still an impressive result for a country that 8 years before was on the verge of bankruptcy.

Most notably, Sicilian Mafia was weakened, with the help of the citizens, now more confident in the Police forces, which sometimes cooperated with the Army.

The "Nuovo Corso" focused on the most important industries for Italy, like Hi-Tech Quality products (Space Engineering was the focal point) and agricultural goods were advertised all over the world. Also, Italy's First Nuclear Power plant was built in the countryside of Lodi and activated in 2018. The space program under the ISA developed and became the most advanced in Europe. By this date also the limits of eligibility for the parliament were stripped, but the parliament was modeled in a manner to keep different people at power, so not to have a rich majority or a communist majority, or anything else which wouldn't be good for the country, as rich in Italy means Corrupt.

Following the events of 2019, Italy, which still had a high debt with Germany, fearing an armed force attack, built its first weapon of its Nuclear Arsenal, the only one available at the moment for the country.

The "Nuovo corso" politic started an ambitious project, alongside many others: the biggest departments of research in Italy would try to achieve the first controlled Nuclear Fusion. However this'll take a lot of time.

So, Italy limped out the financial crisis and was ready to face the world, which by 2021, became a rather dangerous place.

Italy would like to attend the meeting, and also would like to ask: "What about the EU projects?" There are some completely foolish, but some weren't bad, as our space program even neglected was catching up the NASA's.

The Federal Republic of Germany

After taking exhaustive legal counsel, Germany has determined that the proposed Treaty of London is not compatible with existing EU treaties and thus should not be considered for ratification by any member of the European Union. If the United Kingdom wishes to rejoin the European Economic Community, we remain open to further dialogue and discussion on the topic. However, any nation currently residing within the European Union may not sign the treaty unless they choose to take the option available to them under the Treaty of Strasbourg, which requires that a majority of the people within that nation vote for full departure from the European Union.

Should any government seek to undergo this course of action, we would remind them that the current economic situation in Europe is extremely precarious and that any further disruptions of the European Economic Community could lead to potentially disastrous consequences for their domestic finances. This is especially crucial as our Federal Republic is the leading guarantor of sovereign debt in the European Union and would not consider itself obligated to maintain those guarantees in the face of departure from the EU, as that would clearly signal an unwillingness toward promoting goodwill and friendship within Europe. As the leading member and financial director of the European Union, we feel that these important reminders are urgently necessary, given the rapid and inexplicable increase of heated anti-EU rhetoric in the last few years.

~ Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

I have let a few things slide in the past.

From now on, all Stat-less nations will have to PM me their history so I can approve it. I will have to ask, Bthunder, that you change the following points:

GDP Growth is -0.8%
High Debt
Ballistic Engineering, Fusion Power Plant is gone
1 Nuclear Weapon for Italy, and Nuclear Power Plants
Mafia still needs to exist somewhat

OOC: Fine for me, however i have to point out that i have no Fusion Power Plants, just that Italy (As many other countries) started testing a Fusion Power Plant, and investing heavily on this branch of technology, but isn't being built, since nobody has the tech required.

And the debt is still high, i believe. However i'll give more emphasis to it.

The Republic of Italy would like to oppose the arguments of the German Chancellor. The EU completely failed in its task, as a nation that we were committed to help left the Union and was attacked. How much money will you be able to take from them? Surely they have nothing left, as they spent everything to pay their citizens. Is this a crime? If your economy is good, then you don't need Greece's money, which they are short of. Our economy managed to recover slightly, but others aren't as fortunate.
Back on the EU topic, we are a Founding Member, and participated in the Union for a lot of time, with the ultimate goal of uniting Europe under the Union's banner. Sadly, this couldn't be achieved. So, if the EEL project is following guidelines that our republic feels better with than the EU's, well, we deserve the right to leave the Union with a Referendum and join the EEL.

The German Election update was done by a Bavarian. Don't look at me for anything wrong.

OOC: Round, he still is a member of Parliament, so a return is not impossible. This year 35% of the People thought he would be a better CDU chancellor-candidate then Angela Merkel
Also etranger knew him, more likely then Westerwelle ;)

The recent year of Japan has been an example of what we can do. I hope we can have more success in the next years to reduce our deficit and increase our surplus.Things will be great in the future I promise you as we will succeed in reducing unemployment and improving growth in our industries.
