OOC; That's why Japan's Trading Office is giving numbers for 1916 :p
You can't make deals ad eternum

OOC: Precisely :p There's my need for trade and treaties combating my need for industrialisation.

OOC: Reading the stats i came to some stuff i thing that need to be revised, the size of the armies, i tend not to complain about stuff in general, but this a bit... excessive.

Here is a list with the number of soldiers each country had by August 1914, i know some numbers may be reduced for easier gameplay, but cmon UK and Germany having more soldiers than russia?

Japan 2,5 million soldiers?

Some numbers, specially the Great Powers, may be inflated, but give a general idea.

I believe "regulars" are just the active troops - no reservists. Reservists are included in the "conscripts", once you mobilized. Or that's how I read it.

Of course that means the numbers are still off. :p

Germany had some 800,000 men prior to WW1, Japan had something around 250,000, if I'm not mistaken. Too lazy to dig out any numbers before I've seen the stats for Brazil anyway.

OOC: I think a possible way to solve this would be increasing the number of soldiers next turn with the whole "We march to war" thing, but if numbers will be unchanged, im ok with it.....i just want an update :p

OOC: Eh, the source Congo gave states 800,000 for Japan. Germany definitely had more than that in 1914.

After reading around a bit, I feel my naval tech should be a little higher. This is just of Wikipedia (though it is sourced) but for instance, "the Japanese Navy was the first navy to employ wireless telegraphy in combat, at the 1905 Battle of Tsushima.". Reading a bit further, apparently the Russians did also have wireless on their ships, but it was German made (creating difficulties) while the Japanese used their own wireless technology. Also, Japanese shipbuilding seemed to be based upon the ships they'd imported, and I don't see why their copies would be made substantially worse.

That said, I'm assuming the stats are how they are for balance more than anything else.

Read twice before you reply.

"Germany had some 800,000 men prior to WW1, Japan had something around 250,000"

Yes, I said I think Germany had more than 800,000 and according to the source given Japan had about 800,000 itself.

I'm not sure what I'm meant to have read twice. Maybe be clearer when you reply?

If there are any nations that are available then I'd like to play as one.

OOC: Quite a few. There's a map a page or two back showing all the taken nations. It's more whether Red will accept another player.

P.S If you do join please take Serbia :)

OOC: I keep asking... but he does not reply :( Should I PM him? The glorious Socialist People's Republic of Australia and New Zealand awaits my rulership!

OOC: I would PM him, though he might not want anymore people joining right now, as we have a lot.
And you will probably lose in a civil war very fast if you try to turn Australia into a Socialist People's Republic.
