His Royal Majesty, Frederick VI, King of the Danes, Protector of the Swedes and Norwegians, hopes that this conflict remains solely in Africa; Europe can ill afford another war so soon after the wars that wreaked havoc across the first portion of this century.
Closer to home, His Majesty applaud the Norwegian choices for king. He also hope that, when that new king is to be officially named, that the Norwegian nobility will remember Christian's long service to Norway and Denmark, and the ideals of Scandinavism.
On the home front, our navy has been largely rebuilt, and now our goal will be to ensure that the Danish fleet remains a force to be reckoned with, not only in the Baltic, but across the globe. His Majesty has also indicated that the Danish Army, which is still heavily damaged from the war with Marshal Bernadotte, will be a major focus over the course of the next few years. His Majesty, is most pleased about the completion of the Danish Constitution, which now cements the Danish Kingdom as one of the freest and most liberal of nations; regarding this "Sleswig question," His Majesty has said little about the subject, and prefers the Parliament and more local government work resolve the most important of the issues; however, he is adamant in his views about maintaining unity and strength, and calls for cooler heads to prevail in these discussions.
