To the Nations of the West, the Dragon Throne is more than welcoming to begin talks with nations that actually matter. Though note, we will NEVER compromise our territorial, political and cultural integraty by allowing concessions in the form of cities.

To the United Empire of the Britions, I will apologize as one Emperor as pertained by god to another. These lowly peasants who came into the board of industry mishandled my words as to their purpose. All the members of the Industry Board will be sent shackled as per natural. If I ever have industry destroyed in some worthless country I would only accept the same. The Qing Court is also willing, out of their own pocket ((OOC: As in I am forcing the dissedents of rich persuasion)) pay back the Brition Court. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland​

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland would like announce that a State of War now exists between the Qing Empire and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland for their grievous insults and rejection of our gracious demands.

On a better note, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland will announce it will be working with all members of the House of Commons to pass through landmark Legislation that will take effect all across the Empire. The United Kingdom shall now pursue working on the Civil Rights Act of 1844. In it, we shall focus on protecting and securing basic Human Rights, Political Rights, and Social Rights, for all Members of the British Empire. Due to our long-standing traditional on respecting Local Rights, the Civil Rights Act shall be broken up into several sections, outlining the various parts of the Act that will work for what parts of the Empire. In doing so, we hope to move forward in this World, advancing the Good of Mankind, the Rights of Man, and the Justice of the Nation State to pursue the dreams of their people. We have so done this, and have been able to do this, by casting the Evils of Slavery, which many nations, who claims to be Free and Equal, still hold men in bondage. The United Kingdom has destroyed this practice in her Empire, and now we shall go a step further, making the United Kingdom the Bastion of the Free World.

All Men were created Equal in the eyes of God, and All Men were created Equal in the eyes of Queen Victoria. As a willing servant of both God and the British People of all Creeds and Races, the United Kingdom shall encode this basic principle into her very Government, and shall use this as a basis for all Legislation and Actions moving forward.

We feel that when Man is Equal, an Economy and a Nation can and will Prosper. We feel that basic rights should be given to every man, every worker, every former slave, and every immigrant that comes to the Great British Empire.

IC: One does not dictate to the Mandate of Heaven. When I heard the news of this Union declaring on the mighty Dragon Throne I laughed. No Westerner can defeat the Qing, ever have, or ever will. I announce that a State of War is now between this Union of Britions and the Qing Court, since the Western drivel that was handed to me was not worth the paper it was written on.

I also announce that any and all European buisness interests may need to relocate to safer climes, as I cannot halt my people from what will occur.

Declaration of the Dragon Throne Subject CCCVXXII:

Any and all Brition found by private individuals shall lose their right hand as a mark of the disrespect they show to the Dragon Throne.
Any and all neutral foreigner found and brought to the courts as a Brition shall result in the individual responsible for disturbing the neutral citizen in losing their right hand.
Any and all British equipment in Qing territory shall be possession of the Qing Court.

The Russian Empire demands that the Swedish forces agree to a cease fire, do not reinforce their positions and agree to enter into negotiations. Russia also demands the right to take part in these talks as an interested 3rd party. If this demand is not agreed to by Sweden, we will dispatch warships to destroy their fleet and blockade their forces in Denmark. We will not permit this war to continue without having our voice heard and are furious at the lack of attempts at peaceful talks.

The Qing Emperor has shown himself to be mad with other declarations, but this one truely shows his insanity. The Empire of Dia Nam hereby allows safe asylum to any and all western individuals on their way home fleeing the wrath of the Qing, and also offers our nation as an alternative choice for investment to any and all western persons who had previously invested in or looked to invest in the Qing Empire.

On a more domestic note, I am pleased with the progress that his been made to try and reduce the amount of debt currently engulfing our nation's economy. We are, as well, preparing our exibit for the Grand Expo to be housed in the Kingdom of Piedmont-Tuscany's city of Torino, and I am looking forward to my first visit to Europe.

After mutual consultation with the Government of the United States of America, I am able to announce a new settlement in regards to our borders and relations, providing for a more perfect union between our two nations and ensuring peace in this generation and the generations to follow:

4. The Mexican Confederation shall enter into an alliance of mutual defence with the United States of America, pledging to come to the latter's aid in the event of war with a third-party or vice-versa;
5. In restitution for the loss of revenue incurred by the cessation of the northern territories, the damages incurred during the Mexican-American War, and as an expression of amity and friendship, the United States of America shall pay an annuity of 5,000 gold bullion to the Mexican Confederation for a period of ten years.​

In other affairs, the Mexican Government condemns absolutely the unlawful violation of the property of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland by the Chinese Empire. The British Government was well within its right to request reparation; and having been denied in this, the use of force was warranted as means of upholding their interests. King Karl Johan XIII of Sweden and Norway, b. 26 January, 1763

The Kingdoms of Norway and Sweden had been forced into personal union almost 20 years ago, and the time for King Karl Johan's silver jubilee was fast approaching. The festivities would not be as grand as the monarch would have liked due to the extenuating circumstances to the south, in Denmark, but there would still be parades and feasts in Stockholm. The war seemed to have been progressing smoothly for the Swedish-Norwegian forces, having defeated the Danes at sea and being encamped on Sjaelland. But the powers that be were not pleased by the Swedes' actions, especially in regards to the illegality of the sordid affair that was now being called the 'Scandinavian Brother's War'. Sweden was without friends on the world stage, and the aging monarch knew it.

So on the King's birthday, while he was enjoying a fine cognac from his homeland, and the company of Sweden's elite, the King had a stroke. The Swedish Parliament was quick to appoint a regent, the King's son, Oscar. The Swedes and Norwegians both are currently deliberating on whether or not to force the King's abdication, and the Norwegians have yet to ratify the position of Oscar as their regent, the Storting is voting on the issue currently.

The King does not seem to be recovering any time soon from his stroke.

Following multilateral talks hosted by the Russian Empire, the diplomatic working group on the popularly-named "Scandinavian Brothers' War" has produced a treaty for signature by the belligerents in the conflict, all of whom agreed to its terms during the conference. The Prussian Foreign Ministry hereby presents the treaty for public review.

Hostilities between the Kingdom of Sweden, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the member nations of the German Confederation shall cease.

The personal union between the Kingdom of Sweden and the Kingdom of Norway is hereby dissolved.

The Norwegian parliament shall convene to elect a new King of Norway in accordance with Norwegian law and tradition.

No monarch ruling a signatory nation may accept nomination for the Norwegian crown.

The independence of the Kingdom of Norway shall be guaranteed by the the Kingdom of Prussia, the Kingdom of Denmark, and the Kingdom of Sweden.

The Kingdom of Sweden shall pay reparations to the people of Holstein equivalent to 20,000 ounces of gold bullion, to be administered by the Duchy of Holstein.

A truce shall be enforced between the Kingdom of Sweden and the Kingdom of Denmark, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the member nations of the German Confederation, for a period of at least ten years.

An Address by Frederik VI, King of the Danes​

Marshal Bernadotte has been rendered an invalid; whilst my feelings towards that man are well known, his son, Oscar, may be more willing to negotiate and bring this terrible war to its much-befitting end.

Before I make any comment about this treaty, or about the possibility of Scandinavia, I must first say this; I am sorry. To my people, the robust and hardy people of Denmark, I apologize for leaving our nation unprepared for war; my belief that the Danish Fleet was unstoppable compared to the Swedish Navy was foolish and shortsighted on my part, and my people have paid the price; for that, I can only hope that the people of this nation can forgive me. To the Swedes and Norwegians, I wish to apologize for any statement made during the course of this war that presented the Danish and my deepest hopes of unity in a negative light; this war was not my hope, and in its prosecution many good Scandinavians have been felled by the most inhumane of methods.

I, King Frederik VI, King of the Danes, Protector of the Swedes and Norwegians, sign the Treaty of Gotland. I can only hope that this new King, Oscar, has inherited none of his father's vices and vagaries, and will concede this war.
