The Kingdom of Prussia​

The Kingdom of Prussia is pleased to announce that work has begun on the North German Railroad, a vast length of modern railway connecting our capital of Berlin with our industrial city of Koblenz. We wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to our fellow North German states, for without their essential cooperation this grand project would never have been realized. It is the Kingdom's hope that this railway will serve as a symbol of North German unity and pride in this modern era. Following the Railroad's completion, our King shall embark upon a tour across Northern Germany to personally express his gratitude to his fellow monarchs.

We have noted with dismay and displeasure the growing virulence of rhetoric exchanged among both the Scandinavian and Italian states. The Kingdom of Prussia remains committed to the goal of cultural unification through peaceful, diplomatic means, as such an endeavor is ultimately in the best interests of all of Europe, and condemns the efforts by the King of Sweden and the King of the Two Sicilies to promote violence and discord in their respective regions. Prussia's neutrality cannot long be maintained in the face of such unrestrained belligerence; should the monarchs of those two states continue their ill-advised agitation, we will respond accordingly.

Finally, we wish to address the reckless military buildup by the Kingdom of the French along their border with the Netherlands. It is our Kingdom's considered belief that the ongoing conflict in the Lowlands is a strictly internal matter and Prussia will consider any signs of French interference in Dutch affairs to be a matter of gravest consequence. We join the United Kingdom in its most adamant request for an explanation by the King of the French regarding his military's recent actions.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland​

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland would like to echo the statements made by the King of Prussia. We feel that the statements swapped between the Swedish King and the Danish King have gone on for too long, and should this continue, it will boil over into War, and the United Kingdom refuses to remain silent and watch as these two nations bring destruction and devastation back to Europe, after we have fought so hard to remove it. With this, we hereby support any move by the Prussian Government against the Kingdom of Sweden or the Kingdom of Denmark.

The Emperor of the Great Qing is appalled at the conduct of our civil servants. These are men of Confucian character, who have studied all the multitudinous texts the Great Teacher has had to offer - and yet they lack even the moral fortitude to resist the temptations of madak. Lastly, the Emperor of the Great Qing proffers his congratulations to the King of the Dutch for his successful campaign to suppress rebellion in his southern provinces. We hope that this shall restore stability to the peripheral states and end all discussion of intervening in the internal affairs of sovereign states.

The Austrian Empire​

Once again, we condemn the actions of the king of the Two Sicilies. His lust for bloodshed is disgusting, and we will not tolerate him attempting to satisfy his needs by needless slaughter in the Italian peninsula. We demand that he back down, at once, lest we be forced to take extreme measures to ensure peace and stability in the region. Furthermore, we also state that we will not accept any compromisation of the sovereignty of the Papal States. Any Sicilian expansion in Europe will be viewed very dimly by Austria.

When it comes to the more reasonable and sane king of Sardinia-Piedmont, we shall say this: We will keep a watch on your actions, and any aggressive expansion will be met with the same attitude as any Sicilian expansion. However, we view your calls for peace favourably.

Also, we thank the Kingdom of Prussia for its support of peace and its condemnation of the warmongering Sicilians. It is our hope that our mutual relations will not dip beneath the current cordial and peaceful state in the future.

The Austrian Emperor and the King of Sardinia continue to amaze with their slander and lies, they threaten and insult but never act. The Sardinian claims that Italy will be unified through peaceful means, but this will not happen, the Congress of Vienna gave us peace, but left Italy carved up like a cake. Unless the Austrians hand over Milano, Trentino and Venezia and the areas surrounding them to our control, there can never be true peace. But, alas, the Austrians will never leave peacefully, their leeching of Italy is still too profitable. Know this ye enemies of Italia, we will never back down.

We call upon all Italians, wherever they may be, be ready for Il Risorgimento, and then strike, with all your might, all enemies of Italia.

Once again, the Sicilian monarch shows his lust for bloodshed. His constant calls for violent conflict to satiate his bloodlust is loathsome. We have tried diplomacy and reason, but it is evident that the Sicilian monarch is an unreasonable warmongerer. Furthermore, we hereby suspend formal diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Two Sicilies.

In other news, we would like to restate and clear up our situation in Italy. We hereby guarantee the independence and sovereignty of Parma, Modena and Reggio, Tuscany, Lucca, and the Papal States. Any attack on these nations will be met with an immediate response from Austria.

The Kingdom of France would like to state that "defensive" usually refers to installations that are designated in order to prevent foreign armies from coming into France, not assisting French armies when they are moving into foreign territory. We also kindly ask the representatives of both Prussia and the United Kingdom to not meddle with French affairs; we do not moderate your navy or your armed forces, nor do we agitate others to stand against you. It is not the French who are warmongers - it is the ones that point their fingers at them and threaten with war unless we are obedient to their selfish visions of Europe.

The Europeans have always been an interesting race of men to me. I have studied them, as among other peoples, nations, and subjects, with great curiosity and wonder. They build great vessels of wood, pine, sail and wax. They forge mighty muskets, which fire with much greater accuracy than anything I have seen before. And more importantly, they compose such wonders of art, culture, and philosophy that I am truly humbled before Europe's great minds. It is clear that, in the terms of technology, culture, perhaps even civilisation, they have advanced beyond our stagnating Orient. I have seen their power firsthand, for the French assisted my father in achieving the Imperial Throne, something for which I remain eternally grateful to the nation of France for.

And yet, throughout my father's reign, and indeed, my own, we have spurred them. Perhaps, with good reason. While they bring great ideas and weapons to the East, many of these ideas are poisonous, and many of their weapons are destructive. We have seen their domination of India, their intoxication of China, and their colonization of Indonesia. With such examples, one would think that it is best to ignore the European, to shut our gates to them. But, after much study and meditation, I see that this is a folly. To simply look away from the West will not remove it's presence. We must accept the truth before us - the Europeans are here to stay. We must accommodate ourselves with the foreigners, and thus achieve true independence and sovereignty, in the face of both European and Oriental imperialism. For if they cannot treat with us in peace, they will place us under them with force.

And so, with these thoughts clearly in mind, it is time for a great change in Đại Nam. For I do announce a new government policy, which shall be adopted by my Imperial court, my administrators, and my vassals: Mở Rộng Quan Hệ ''Open Relations''. Over the course of the next few decades, we shall open up to the West. We shall adopt their customs, their ideas, and their doctrines to the economy, the industry, and the military of the Quốc Gia. For these things make the West so great, and thus, they will make the Việt great. Let me assure you, this is no submission to the Westerners, no defeat. Merely it is a reassessment of Đại Nam's place in the world. No longer will we remain stubborn in our isolation. I shall now accept, should the governments of Europe send them, ambassadors and delegates into my court. I am eager to learn more of the West, and treat with them, and have Đại Nam properly recognised as a nation and power. In line with this, national governments may now pucharse private property in the imperial captial of Huế, to serve as embassies and resting places for their represenatives and diplomats. Likewise, I would also like to do the same with the West: send ambassadors of my person, and establish embassies for their permanent residence. I welcome greatly the Western response to this news, and I eagerly wait to treat with their representatives, and involve myself in the international discourse of powers. For Đại Nam, this will be our first step out into the world. With loyalty, stability, and perseverance, we shall not stumble.

The Kingdom of Greece

It has been brought to my attention that the recently assembled National Convention is seeking for all interested European parties to put forward candidates for a new King of the Hellenes. Once an appropriate list of candidates for the throne has been assembled, the National Convention shall debate on the merits of each candidate, until the list has been narrowed down to one, whom shall become the new King of the Hellenes.

Fair people of our great Republic! This past year Chile's wealth has increased greatly thanks to the toil of our labours. From across the world people who are disillusioned with their lots in life have come seeking refuge from autocracy and serfdom. These huddled few are the beginnings of a great wave of immigrants, skilled craftsmen and professionals from all over the world who will come to great Andean Republic, where we welcome them with open arms, give them rights, give them freedom!

We offer our congratulations to the Republic of New Granada, who have lead the way for South America. Our great republic would have been there with them, were it not for those villanous aristocrats who seek to hoard their wealth. Even now, they tense their feeble grip on power, as the Chilean people come to take it back for themselves! This republic needs comprehensive land reform! The church will aid us in this great endeavour, I am most certain. For each man over the age of 18 in this republic should have the right to own a plot of land for him to farm, in his own name, for his own wealth. No longer shall the ladrones who call themselves nobles hold the wealth and power in this republic, but you! Yes, you, great people of Chile shall be the arbiters of power and the recipients of your own hard work!

Recent developments in the Peru-Bolivian Confederacy show they are no more than a pack of lobos, staring with greedy eyes at the prosperity of nations around them. Should the Bolivians not give up their mastery over Peru, and release the proud Peruvians from their bondage, Chile will have to take action. We cannot stand for the subjugation of an entire people on this great continent, and we shall do all in our power to support the Peruvians in their plight. We would like to remind the Bolivians that he lands around Antofagasta rightfully belong to the Chilean Republic, and they would do well to remember that fact

To the international community, our recent scientific expedition to Easter Island has been a smashing success! You were the only person who hadn't sent in their orders and with a BS excuse (because obviously taking 5 mins at max to quickly jot down a few words per order is too much to take away from your busy schedule), you rolled pretty damn low so anything you ordered would've either backfired or did more damage than good, and your orders probably would've been trollish and gotten rewritten anyways.

People of the Ottoman Empire! Soon this nation will have a new Constitution, one that will enable this nation to be governed fairly and efficiently. We will ensure that it is enforced and no regional governors gain the power that some have in the past. Next year a new education program will be initiated that will be fully secularized and will focus only on improving your lives and futures.

On a less happy note I condemn the recent Coup d'Etat in the Kingdom of Greece and the following aggressive action against the Ottoman Empire. I call on all nations to condemn this action which is in the same vain as that of the King of Sicily. Any attempt to annex any portion of the Ottoman Empire will be met with the full force of the Imperial Ottoman Army. I call upon the Kingdom of Greece to cease their attacks against our nation and accept the current borders between our two nations.

All other "governments" in Italy are hitherto declared illegal, as is the Austrian grip on the regions of Milano, Trentino and Venezia. We demand that all of these "governments" dissolve themselves peacefully and allow their citizens to join with the Italian Kingdom.
