I agree with my Ottoman counterpart. The Swedish nation seems to be hellbent on the assumption that Denmark wishes for a violent unification, when in fact there is all evidence to the contrary. Is it not too much to ask that countries of common heritage stand together to defend one another? Must there always be some sort of distrust or suspicion?

Sweden and Norway will never go back into the Kalmar Union fold. For we do not wish to be closer to the Danes as they have never done anything for Sweden in over 100 years. If we go back into a Danish fold they will control it, even dominate it. We are a country who wants to maintain independence and we find Denmark's statements worrying as we do not wish for war due to Sweden and Norway not wanting to join Denmark in their charades.

To answer your question, oh sir of questionable sanity, the Belgian lands are rightfully mine, as stated by the Congress of Vienna. They have been part of our country since the very birth of the Netherlands, and they speak Dutch. Scandinavia, on the otherhand, has been a seperate piece of land from the Denmark for hundreds of years, and yet now they wish to march in and conquer people oof a seperate national identity. That is why I am perfectly within my rights to make such a statement.

I would like to remind the King of the Netherlands that in fact Belgium only became a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in 1815 after the Congress of Vienna, prior to that the last time you were united was under the reign of the Hapsburgs. A large number of Belgians speak French, not Dutch, and most are Catholic, not Protestant, many share no links with your kingdom and it would make more sense for them to be part of France then part of the Netherlands. I am incredulous that the King would sink to such lows as insulting the Chilean President, I believed only the Italians could possibly go that far. It would seem that the only nations who are arguing over nationalities that are remotely civilized are the Scandinavians and the Belgians.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland would like to question as to why the Ottoman Empire is advocating for peoples that are not of the same religion, and do not speak the same language. It is His Majesty's Government's duty to point out that the Ottoman Empire is one of these states, controlling many people who do not speak Turkish, and who are not Muslim. Why, is it, that you advocate for the Independence of the Southern Provinces of the Netherlands, which are, and will always be, rightfully the property and land of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, while you do not advocate for the many peoples under your flag that are not Turkish?

We wish to maintain the Balance of Power set out by the Congress of Vienna. If the United Kingdom was to take the same stance as the Ottoman Empire, we would be advocating for the independence of your peoples as well.

Make it clear, and try and prevent that from happening.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland would like call for the Kingdom of Sweden and Denmark, most notably the Kingdom of Denmark, to stand down, and stop cease with their bellicose behavior. The Congress of Vienna has settled, and Norway is a part of Sweden now. The Kingdom of Denmark should not be looking to capitalize on any faults in the Government Policy of the Kingdom of Sweden. While we would not try to stop a war between the two nations, we would intervene if either of the two nations decided to annex large swaths of land not allocated to them in the Congress of Vienna.

We shall stop at nothing to ensure the continued survival of the delicate balance of powers in Europe.

For a King so interested in independence, you seem to care little about the Norwegians who do not wish to live under your rule; perhaps if your concerns were truly heartfelt, you would make Norway a free nation...

Of course, what can one expect from a foreigner ruling over Scandinavians?

To the British monarch, I say this; Denmark has no desire for war; nor does it wish to see good Scandinavian blood spilled over the arrogance of this foriegn-born king. The Kingdom of Denmark, instead, wishes for the Scandinavian people to live in unity, in peace, and prosperity, and free from foreign rule. I doubt Monsieur Bernadotte can appreciate that sentiment.

If any war is waged, it will be in the defence of the Scandinavian people, and the source of the conflict will not stem from the Danish court, but from Stockholm, from the mouth of the French King of Sweden!

I would like to remind the British Prime Minister that I was not advocating the independence of Belgium, the Ottoman Empire has yet to take a stance on the issue, but merely pointing out the factual errors in what the King of the Netherlands said as well as expressing our distaste with the language used by the King. I would also like to remind the Prime Minister that while Belgium has revolted our minorities have not. They may have been badly treated in the past but that will change and they will be full citizens of the Ottoman Empire.

I am sorry fo my factual errors. I forgot to consult my skilled historian, Wiki Pedia, before offering that proclomation. Nevertheless, Belgium is still an integral part of my nation, and a rightful part of it. We are not "bathing it in blood," but just destroying a dangerous rebellion.
