The party in honor of all the union soldiers fallen in battle hosted by Carl Sullivan becomes the top event of the year in the Luna zone to assist, everyone who is who is there, including the majority of the officers corps of the navy, marine and militias of the colony.
A full analysis of the forces in luna, weaknesses things to improve and ability is compiled by the Major general for a better defense in the future in case of an attack.
Soldiers were hurrying in and out of the mansion. Carrying varied foods in and furniture out. The mansion wasn't small, but Sullivan still needed every space he could get. Over six hundred men of the military personal of Luna were invited for memorial day. Officers from the Colonial Militias, the Marines and even the Navy were expected to appear at the feast. And at the moment the mansion looked like it was plundered by Pirates. A stool dropped in the entrance, some carpets rolled over but not yet taken away. Sullivan wasn't so sure any-more if this was a good idea.
He tried to ignore the chaos which was unfolding in front of him and stepped out into the court yard. There he looked down on the rest of the military camp. The less fancy barracks, housing hundreds of his soldiers. Most were off duty, there was no pirate threat, which wasn't a surprise thanks to the navy and the close proximity of earth it was certain suicide for them to attack on Luna. And the risk for some revolt was negligible. The citizens of Luna were mostly loyal to the NAU and even if not the Colonial Militias would handle them on their own. Still Sullivan took care that a certain discipline was uphold even without any obvious threat. He didn't come this far to risk everything just because his soldiers liked to play cards all day long. It was anyway a long shot, but he felt it was his duty towards himself and his fellow citizens, so he had no real choice in not pursuing his endeavour. With this thought in his mind he resumed to personally the preparations of the festivities.
