A messenger is dispatched to Fornost Erain, with a private message for the King's ears only.

Hail King Malvegil of Arthedain, may your beard grow ever longer! These are the words of Durin, King Under the Mountains.

In the affairs of the Kingdoms of Men, we take no part. Therefore look not to the mountains for aid in the cause of restoring the Realm of Arnor under one crown. But when it comes to goblins, orcs, trolls, or the restless dead, that is another matter entirely. Durin's Folk ever shall remain their enemy. And if any Kingdom of men should join with them, the hammer shall fall upon their heads as well.

I propose that we, and others that have power for good in the North, should meet together in council, or at least send our representatives to do so.

Alright. I've PMed the two missing ones, and so they have to be in by 18:00 GMT tomorrow. Also, the first deadline for orders is 18:00 GMT on Wensday, so you can start sending in orders now!

About orders:
You get one admin order and one war order. The admin can pertain to anything that will maybe better your realm, earn money, etc, like building roads, raising taxes, building farms, increase defenses. Try to make these orders as detailed as possible so I don't accidentally do something you don't like. Few details will be punished.
War orders are different. They pertain to anything involving military, such as raising troops or moving armies, launching surprise attacks, etc. Battles between two armies work like this: each one formulates a strategy(seperatley). I can give bonuses/penalties for good/bad tatics, and other things might change it, so get creative!

As always, thank you, and if you have any questions about ANYTHING in this game, PLEASE PM me! Thank you, and let's see how this version of Middle Earth plays out! Good luck!

Turn 1: 1300 TA
The Year 1300 TA is bound with opportunity, as darkness rises... But will good prevail? All is filled with uncertainty of the future.

Admin update

In Arthedain, the Numenorian blooded king orders that non Numenorian blooded people shall not intermarry with the mixed men or the men of Middle Earth. He establishes openly a new set of laws against this, angering many. He also secretly tells his generals to use the men of middle earth as the front line troops to kill them as fast as possible. When the non pure blooded people hear this, they are outraged. A large group of them chooses to leave Arthedain for a place where they will be more appreciated. Now the enemies of Arthedain increase as its own population is turning against it.
((Arthedain loses 10,000 men of middle earth, which in turn go to Rhudaur. Supply decreases by 2,500.))

The King of Harad offers his Mumakils as weapons of war for mercenaries and with other nations, save Gondor, their enemy. This is a great success, as a surprising amount of people from Umbar, Rhun and elsewhere want these beasts as war machines.
(( Harad gets an income bonus of 1000 GP))

The Witch King of Angmar is preparing for war. He orders the construction of forts along the border of his realm and Arthedains, as well as assist and building forts along their border. However, progress is slow, and the border is large. The Northern climate also hampers their work. In the end, only some of the forts are built in key locations, but many resources were squandered In the process.
((-1000 gold from Angmar's already in debt treasury))

In Fangorn Forest, the long search for the entwives continues. Ents ask travelers if they have seen them, and most report seem nothing, however, two travelers, mysteriously clad in blue, claims to have seen them in the far east, beyond Rhun. Before this, though, Treebeard sent some Hurons(entish trees, "awake" trees you might say) to around South the mountains and to the North to the Old Forest, however no sign of them is heard up in Eriador.
((Treebeard gets a hint at where they might be, search to the North fails))

King Rain V of Khazad Dum tries to get Hobbits of the vales of the Anduin to settle in the empty land of Eregion(which men call Hollin). Some Hobbits go, and find they like the land, bare and desolate though it be. They form the Hobbit area called Hollin, and are content to settle down and establish fields and homesteads, burrows and holes there. Only most of the fallowhides and hartfoots go- the stoors stay back, content with their quiet lives in the gladden fields. Besides, Hollin does not have the swamps and rivers they like best. A leader from the ancient Took family is selected as Thain of Hollin.
((2/3 Hobbits settle in Hollin west of Khazad Dum))

In Gondor, the King ordered all the men of Middle Earth in Gondor and move them to the Gap of Ronan. All the mixed people they moved to Erech and Anfalas. From Dol Amroth to Anorien and everything west, would be territory of the Dunedain, the pure blooded Numenorians. This was done to largely to prevent interbreeding. Then the King established provinces, called Rohan and Anfalas, and created Dukes to rule over them, free for local autonomy, but loyal to the King. Unlike, however, in Arthedain, the non Dunedain take this well, and do like having their own separate lands to call their own.
((Two new provinces of Gondor are created.))

In the North, seeing trouble brewing, Elrond the Wise calls a Council of the North. He ask representitaves from: Arthedain, Lindon, Cardolan, Rhudaur, and Khazad-Dum, to see a way to forge peace in these times.
((Council called in Rivendell. All countries must announce their intent to go or not and who will be their representative(s).))

War Update

In Arthedain, the King recruits 1000 men of Middle Earth for his army and war against Angmar. He moves them to the Angmar border to watch for attacks from there. Scouts return to Fornost bearing the news that Angmar is building forts and amassing armies on its borders. War is brewing.
((1000 soldiers recruited. -1000 from treasury, +1000 to expense))

In Harad, the King orders the advanced breeding of Mumakils, to make them stronger and more numerous. His efforts, while time and resource strenuous, are effective))
((Enhanced combat modifier, but -500 gold))

The Witch King is preparing for war. He moves most of his armies to the border, some 40,000 orcs and fell men, to prepare for war and strike when ready, as well as watch for any strike from Arthedain.
((Angmar move armies to the border))

In Cardolan, the King fears war and spends half his treasury and raises 1,500 troops and move them to the border between Cardolan and Rhudaur, and prepare them for war, while the rest of the army waits further in the territory.
((1,500 troops raised. -1500 from treasury, +1500 to expense.))

Rhudaur's main army, consisting of 3,000 troops and 100 cavalry, moves to the border in anticipation of the upcoming war.
((Rhudaur moves armies to the border))

The King of Gondor sent his son Eldacar and his General Castamir to war in umbar. Mounting ships, 7,000 troops sails to the ancient haven. The Corsairs of Umbar moved out to intercept them in the sea outside Umbar. Before most of the Umbar ships could get closer, the skilled Gondorian archers fired flaming arrows. The ships of Umbar, all save one, caught alight. Volleys of arrows rained down, killing crewmen and lighting the ships even when the crew tried to post them down. No Umbarian in the flaming ships survived. The one surviving ship sailed back to the Haven. The Gondor Sailors land in the haven. With most of the soldiers were sunk with the ships, only 1000 were left. The 7000 from Gondor had little trouble taking the city, though 1000 men were lost quelling resistance. Umbar was under Gondor's control. During the battle Castamir was slain when he departed his ship.
((Umbar taken, under control by Gondor 1000 soldiers lost.

That is not how orders work. You should PM (conversation) me with the orders. Also try to add detail if you can. You missed it this turn but that's all right, I understand, this is your first type of this game. If you have any more questions, just PM me! Thank you!

A letter to Lord Elrond from the Grey Havens:

My dear friend Elrond,

Long have I known you, and wish to come to this council. However, I must stay here in the grey havens. To you I send my emissary Galdor to the council to speak in my place. These issues in the North must be addressed.

May the Valar guide you,
Cirdan the Shipwright

A letter from the King of Rhudaur

Lord Elrond,

I will come. But do not think me a fool. I will have guards with me. By no means will I walk into a trap which my enemies have planned for me and die. I come in peace. Should I be threatened in any way or not return, your puny valley will burn.

Do not betray my trust!

A letter from Orthanc

My Lord Elrond,

I would be pleased to come to your council. Doubtless my wisdom will be needed in such an hour. I will be there.
