Election Season in Ratugon

It is election season in Ratugon! Every 4 years, the Ratugon Assembly is up for grabs. The assemblymen can serve unlimited terms. They must either be elected, or they will be removed from their position. However, this year is special. While the Assembly may be up for grabs again, the Chancellery is also being contested. Every 8 years, the Chancellery is contested. Mostly all the major parties send in at least one candidate for the elections. These are this year's candidates:

The Nationalist Party- Johnson Arbager.

The Socialist Party- Nathaniel Krumen.

The Constitutional Alliance- Francessco Siracasa.

The Workers' and Laborers' Party- Evan Impala.

The Imperial Front- Nicholas Donato.

The New Force Party- Ramas Sicora.

Each candidate has their own separate ideas and policies reflecting that of their party. These people will spend the next year in debates, conventions, meetings, etc to get the people on their side. It all comes down to the last month of the year. That month is voting month, in which all citizens of Ratugon flock to the polls to vote on which candidate deserves the vote. They also vote on assemblymen. Each province selects one assemblymen, and each colony makes a selection of 5 candidates.

The results are then tallied for half a year before a result is gained. The candidate with the most votes for him by the people wins the election and is elected to the position of Chancellor. The same goes for the Ratugon Assemblymen.

After a result is reached, winning candidate prepares himself to go into office. The Chancellor during the election continues his term till the end of the year. Then comes the ordainment of the Chancellor. The new Chancellor makes his vows to the Monarch of Ratugon, stating he will serve the crown well. The Ex-Chancellor then swears the new Chancellor into office.

Notable Candidate for the Chancellery- Francessco Siracasa: Francessco is notable due to his experience in the field of politics. A member of the Constitutional Alliance, Francessco has gained much popularity in the past few years as a politician. He is a delegate to the Galactic Federation, and a high ranking member of the Federation Congress. The GF is actually popular in Ratugon. It makes the people feel a part of something big. Most of the delegates have become extremely popular. Francessco has also served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Finance for the last two chancellors. Now he is running for office.

(Siracasa Speaking to a small crowd.)

Royal Wedding

Not only is it election season in Ratugon, but another event has stirred the people. Her Majesty Zoey Butsan has been married to Duke Lukas Kyut of the Colony of Divine. Marriages work like they always do, the girl takes the surname of the guy, but not in this case. The Butsan family has been around ruling for hundreds of years, and one reason why is due to a royal edict saying that if a Queen or Princess is to marry, then the Groom must take the Butsan surname, and all children will be members of the Butsan family. This was approved by Lukas Kyut, who has arranged for his younger cousin to inherit the Kyut Duchy when Lukas died.

Lukas and Zoey were married on the 16th of Aunsun (4th month of the Year on the Ratugon Calender) in St. Gerdald's Cathedral in Herak.

Rumors have already begun as to if Zoey is already Pregnant.

Adrallan Oligarchy

flag_111.jpg

Message to the citizens of the Oligarchy-

Citizens, we have won a great victory. The Euterian Fleet has been decimated and it's armies destroyed. Bizanze has been saved. For his heroic and brilliant actions Admiral Relacey has been promoted to Grand Admiral of the Oligarchy, a position second only to that of the Exarch. Even with millions of Euterian soldiers killed or captured on Bizanze, millions more of our citizens were lost. This is what we are fighting, complete and total monsters. This is why we must fight this war to the bitter end. They may have advanced technology, and powerful weapons, but they are not civilized. This is why we had to attack them. To prevent an attack on the Oligarchy. But some people were foolish. They supported the Euterians and gave them information on our plans. This betrayal is not the only reason we have suffered set-backs. We were complacent. We assumed that our innate superiority could win anything without trying. But now, we know what must be done. We will no long underestimate our enemy. Never again can a world of the Oligarchy come under attack by those monsters. When we first invaded their world of Bagderud, we showed mercy. We left the civilians alone, and occupied the planet with honor and respect. They repaid that mercy with genocide. They reject our mercy, so we will give them none. Dangerous though they may be, the Euterian Empire will never defeat the Oligarchy. They are so self-absorbed and over-confident they believed that they offered a mercy with their 'peace offer', which would have forced us to flee our worlds. That will never happen. Whatever mistakes were made, whatever setbacks we suffered, those are in the past. Now we have the preparation and the will to crush them, and nothing will stop us from destroying them. When we return to the skies over their planets I want you to remember Bizanze, remember what they do when they win. That can never be allowed again. Every soldier must give his all for the Oligarchy. The tide of this war has turned, and we will not be lost and defeated again. Onward, to victory!

뱈두 연방 공화국
Baekdu Yeonbang Konghwaguk / Federal Republic of Baekdu

Do You Hear The People Sing?

Excerpt from Consul Kim's Speech at the Assembly of the Commune of Gallia [1], An. 27

Fellow citizens,

It has been a remarkable year. Thanks to your spirit and initiative, we already have hundreds of millions of brave citizens here on Asadal. The building of cities here has been truly remarkable; it is not every day one can watch a whole society appear from nothing in a matter of months. I thank you all for helping bring this beautiful land under the beneficial eye of the Republic. At this time, as we stand on the cusp of a technological revolution and have brought growth and prosperity to our great nation, it seems as if anything is possible. I assure you, the government in Baekdu will do everything we can to ensure the Commune of Gallia is safe and secure. Thank you for allowing us to serve you. When I see the smiles on the faces of my fellow citizens, prosperous and free, it reminds me why I do this job. Our democracy shall prevail, and we shall serve as an example to all.

I wish all the new citizens of the Commune of Gallia luck, and hope that a bright and prosperous future is in store for us all.

긴 공화국 살기! / Long live the Republic!

- Kim Yoori, Consul of the Federal Republic of Baekdu

---

Systems of the Federal Republic

Joseon: Home to the planet Baekdu, which contains the Communes of Neo Seoul, Neo Pusan, Neo Wonsan, Neo Pyongyang, and Baekdu City. Baekdu's lone moon has two additional Communes, the Communes of Wiesongbuk and Wiesongnam. The system is named for the mythological first dynasty of the Baekdu people from their days on Xin. Deputies have pointed out that this is somewhat anti-Republican, but since the star has always been called Joseon as long as Baekdu people have lived there, even in the pre-corporate democratic era, it has never gained serious momentum. The Mercian name, Ile-de-Gallia, has been considered as an alternative.

Myongseong: Home to the planet Jeju and the Commune of Jeju, it was the Republic's first settlement outside the Joseon system. Its warm climate and year-round pleasant weather have made it the most popular tourist destination in the Republic. The system was named for a woman in ancient Baekdu history on Xin who overthrew the Daegun and ruled Baekdu as a "commonwealth," or republic, for thirteen years before she died and the monarchy was restored.

Dangsan: Home to the planet Hongdae and the Commune of Hongdae. An arid, temparate world largely covered in chapparal, it is nonetheless very habitable and contains much of the Republic's mineral wealth. The system is named for President Lee Hyori's home district in Neo Seoul.

Robespierre: Home to the planet Orleans and the Commune of Versailles. Notable for having a majority Mercian population, as it was discovered by the famous Mercian astronomer Robespierre Paul and settled largely by Mercians. Signs are printed in both Baekdu and Peulangseueo, the indigenous language of the Mercian people; it is one of the few places the language is still spoken by large numbers of people. Residents of the Robespierre system are noted for their fiercely independent nature and fine cuisine; it is also a Syndicalist / Socialist stronghold in elections.

Sejong: Home to the planet Hyorittang and the Commune of Hyorittang. Hyorittang is an extremely cold planet, but it has many valuable resources. The poles are generally too cold for permanent settlement, but the equator is usually at about the temperature of an average Baekdu winter. The colony produces both mineral resources and a great deal of food from its bountiful oceans. The system is named for Sejong the Great, the leader of Baekdu who first rose up against the Xin Li Empire; the main settled planet's name means "Hyoriland" and is thus named for Baekdu's first president.

Magosung: Home to the planet Gojong and the Commune of Magosung. Gojong is a desert world that is prone to frequent massive dust storms, but still serves as an integral part of the Republic as a military base and solar energy generating hotspot. The system is named for a mythical land where "earth's milk," a sort of magical food that fulfilled all desires, was made in Baekdu mythology. The irony of the name for a system whose main planet is a desert world voted "Worst Place to Live in the Republic" by the Times of Neo Seoul three years running is not lost on the Baekdu people.

Gallia: Home to the planet Asadal and the Commune of Gallia. The most recently settled planet in the Republic, Asadal is very similar in characteristics to Baekdu itself, some say uncannily so. It is considered a great loss that its colonization was so delayed by the Saxeroroos Incident, as it is likely to become an extremely productive part of the Republic. Its three moons also seem largely habitable. The planet's name translates to "place where the morning sun shines," and Gallia is the Peulangseueo name for the Joseon system, so considering the planet's striking similarity to Baekdu, the name seemed fitting.

[1] - Formerly the Saxeroroos System.

Our nation stands at a cross-road my brothers. The Federation is trying to take away all that is Ratugonian. The Federation is simply a ruse for the Voogamons to expand their dam business into our polity. As chancellor, I can guarantee you that Ratugon will no longer consider itself part of the Federation, and no longer will it be a slave to this wretched "Serene Republic."

Noble Warriors of the Great Herakos Fleet,

Though we had little reason to doubt our might and glory in feats of battle, news from Non-Herakos space has brought good tidings. We are the strongest single force in this Galaxy. Beings from Gallifrey to Nerofal speak of our power in hushed tones - even the Galactic Federation, the puppets of the so-called "Serene" Voogoonam, as a whole cannot match our strength. It is our destiny to rule the stars, our birthright, and I have not only lead the Herakos Race into this age of glory, but obtained the blessing of our ancestors. How else, without the blessing of the wise and aged Khanos that came before me, would the Herakos rise from mere solar farmers to the largest fleet in existence?

I ask that all Herakos join me in the events to come. The war of the last years were but a taste of the glory to come. There is no greater destiny than ours, Herakos, and with our might our fleets shall be free to roam wherever the Herakos pleases.

~ Aikaterine of the Quasar, Khanos of the Great Herakos Fleet

Turning Point

flag_091.jpg

At long last the Oligarchy had a victory actually worth celebrating. On the bright side, the Euterian terror campaign had made it quite clear that all citizens must stand together against a common foe. On the significantly worse side, old and 'unauthorized' propaganda had justified the war against Euterian by painting them as pathetic savages. This made the numerous failures of the Adrallan campaigns difficult to explain and justify.

For once the discussion was started by the High Counselor, "There was mis-communication in my pillar, and it will be handled by myself, there will not be a repeat, and the war effort will not be put in jeopardy."

The Exarch scowled, "This 'mis-communication' has had huge ramifications. riots across our worlds have caused agitation. Many have sent external support to the communists. This is unprecedented and extremely worrying. These concepts are taught as nothing but the very lowest of the low. This has shaken their faith in us, and while the Euterians saved us by murdering hundreds of millions, when this war ends, we may very well have a crisis on our hands beyond compare. We need to move now to nip it in the bud. Execute everyone responsible for that propaganda campaign and work on removing any references to it. We need to make the people forget we ever said the euterians are savages. This way our image is not so tarnished by their infiltration and victories."

The Arcarius studied his holopad as he chimed in, "Indeed. The current atmosphere is one of great discontent. we can't let this go with a mere slap on the wrist. We have a victory which is good, now we must exploit that to wipe out previous mistakes. The euterians are still a threat, and we took them far too lightly. We can not let the masses long remember that, or the worst civil disturbance in our history will become a full-blown rebellion. I will not go down as the Arcarius who led the Oligarchy to it's death after millennia of glory and greatness."

The High Counselor's face was contorted in anger at being commanded by her so-called 'equals', "This is an outrage. The Cultural Pillar is my jurisdiction and I am the equal of this council. You have no right to dictate to me. I am perfectly aware of the problems we face, but I am confident that the issue can be resolved without killing 200 people. They can be persuaded to not speak of it, and the new propaganda campaign will go forward repainting them as dangerous foes with a savy cunning, but still no match for Adrallan greatness."

The Exarch shook his head, "Unacceptable. We thought we could control the situation before, but the riots are larger than any ever seen before. We can take no risks. Killing 200 citizens may hurt the war effort, but we can recover. We not recover if even one of them speaks out. For the sake of the Oligarchy, they must die."

The High Counselor slammed her hand onto the table and rose from her seat, "No. I rule the cultural Pillar. 8 billion citizens, more than both of you combined. I will not let you determine my actions through your own self-importance. The army may fight our wars, and the economy may keep us fed and respected, but without the people complacent and accepting of us, then your precious little worlds fall apart. You need the Cultural Pillar. I have absolute authority within it, and that is the way it has always been. I do not tell you how to fight your wars, or how to build our economy. Not even when Bizanze burned did I tell you what to do. I said nothing when our interfearance in Kelmar lost us billions. But now, a few hundred people might spread some rumours, and you want to completely subvert my authority? No, that will not happen."

With that, the High Counselor stormed out from the Triumvirate chambers. The Exarch and the Arcarius shared a look as she walked out.

High Counselor Dela Arick was fuming. How dare they make demands of her? She had risen to the top of the Cultural pillar on the backs of hundreds, and exploited thousands more to hold her position. For all of the suffering she had inflicted on others, she had never enjoyed it. It pained her to ruin the lives of others, but ultimately she knew that she was doing the right thing. The system of the Oligarchy was inherently flawed, and none saw it that way. She had to change it. That was her driving motivation. Her efforts were finally paying off. Thousands now saw the system for the broken and cruel travesty it was. Hopefully once the war with the Euterians was over, she'd be able to lead the exploited masses to a new age of equality and appreciation. Though she had no intention of tying herself to the Baekdu. Even without the Oligarchy, Adralla would remain an independent and great power. And the communists were even worse, practically reveling in anarchy. no, her utopia would have her show her people into a beautiful new age of centralized republicanism, with more power to a central figure to lead the country, someone brilliant, kind, and well-suited for leadership, like herself...

She shook he head as she walked outside. Best not to get too lost in thoughts. Things needed to progress one step at a time. As she strode towards her waiting ship, she noticed her young right hand Malira Serrico walking toward her. She was one of the worst of her people, valuing progress and efficiency above all else, but her actual progress and eye for weakness and opportunity made her to good to ignore. Dela hoped to get rid of her soon, but women like Malira were far too careful to be disposed of easily. Dela almost wished the Euterians had made it to the homeworld to give her the excuse to kill Malira.

She gave Malira a disingenuous smile, "Is there a problem that requires my attention?"

Malira shook her head, "No madam High Counselor, I merely wished to know what the outcome of the Triumvirate meeting. Did you come to an agreement to the conduct of the home front for the war effort?"

High Counselor Arick sighed and continued walking toward her ship, "You may have risen far for someone so young, but the events of the meetings of the Triumvirate are for us alone to know. You will find out the results the same as anyone else. However high one might rise, there is always higher. There is the Triumvirate, and then everyone else. No matter how well ranked, you are still followers."

Malira followed the high counselor, "A profound lesson, I'll be sure to remember that if I succeed you one day."

Dela couldn't help but chuckle at that, "Don't get your hopes up. I don't intend to die soon, and plan to hold this position for quite some time. Who knows, maybe you'll die before me, or someone else will surpass you before I die."

Dela stepped aboard her ship as she finished and looked back to Malira. Malira stood just outside the ship with a sadistic smile and a look of triumph in her eyes.

"I doubt that Ex-Counselor."

*Breaking news from the Oligarchical News Network*

"After harsh military crackdowns on Euterian infiltration agents over the past year, it was theorized that only a handful of agents remained. Tragically these predictions proved true today. First High Counselor Dela Arick's personal shuttle was taken by Euterian agents and crashed into a lower-class residential area, causing dozens of death's including that of the High Counselor. This attack was soon followed by a bomb attack on an agency that focused on moral boosting, causing an estimated 250 deaths. New High Counselor Malira Serrico has spoken out against these terroristic measures, and decries them as the work of cowards in wake of Euterian failures on the battlefield. She calls for all citizens to stand together and to not let these attacks dishearten you. These are the desperate acts of a humiliated enemy. Further attacks on the Homeworld will be stopped by the newly formed 'Organization of Internal Secrurity', or OIS, which is dedicated to protecting citizens from all threats. She closed her speech by declaring that the only way for these attack to have succeeded is to lose hope, and that to do so would insult High Counselor Arick's memory and insult the very Oligarchy itself.

This is ONN, bringing you the latest information from the various corners of our glorious Oligarchy. Thank and have a productive day citizens."

Turn-8 mini-six months
The forever War
The second Badgerud War

The year started with new reporting missing people all over adrallan territory and bodies of unknown people and many of the missing reported and found. Behind the scenes a full blown Intelligence war was happening between the newly found OIS and the EIS. Every week dozen of agents from both agencies died in killings and attack on each other. the Euterians attempt to infiltrate the OIS ended in dozen agents dead, and in revenge a hunt for OIS agents was initiated. Background checks and routine scan were done by the OIS in a full oppressive and not seen before in every branch of the Adrallan. Soon the OIS was feared and anyone marked by them was good as death. On the other side the Euterian attempts to infiltrate were accordingly to the OIS 100% detected...but the doubts were there it was truth. Six month into the year and by now over three thousand agents and informants lay dead and rotting in hidden boxes, unmarked grave and places where police don't look into.//

In Badgerud the Euterian territory two things happened at once. the Euterian fleet was ordered to be massed on Badgerud and end the pirate threat, with them fleet suddenly received a secret message with the Location of the Space Pirate base on the system. At the same time pirates coming from dead space began raiding the now undefended Bazzo and Xehosy system, raiding merchants and lightly defended supply convoys and leaving no one alive and military supplies and slave back home, even though the pirate blocake was as effective as it had been in badgerud it did reduced a good amount of the supplies crossing the space towards the badgerud key point.//

In Badgerud the Euterian fleet head by Admiral Pericles was on the move and began its attack on the pirate compound on one of the outer ring moons. the pirates put a small defense in space before simply routing and retreating to bazzo system meanwhile the defenses in the moon scored some hit but were ultimately defeated, as the euterian attempted to take the base for information the self destruction mechanism was activated destroying the base and some ships near it.//Soon after the Euterian fleet set to mine the approach from Bizanze as it was believed (correctly) and attack by the oligarchy was soon to happen. //

The assumption soon was proven true when the 4th Fleet of the Oligarchy head of by the hero of bizanze recently promoted Grand Admiral Relacey hit into the system. Wisely the grand admiral set soon it arrays of frigates into the mine to deactivate them or located, costing it time however as the Euterian fleet relied together and advance upon them in battle formation. The mines were very effective and even though a path was created many frigates lost for it. Soon teh Adrallan fleet avoided the field and advanced upon the Euterian fleet with less numbers but without fear, which made the Euterians get too confident, thinking they had gone mad and preyed upon them.//

This played into Grand admiral plans when when a wedge was open in the enemy lands and a direct path unto the carriers of the euterian fleet was opened , sacttering them to try to get into safety and buying time for the next movement of the fleet.//

Suddenly new alarms sounded and the Adrallan 5th fleet in charge of Exarch Jaq Cibio himself arrived bringing reinforcement and leveling the playing field on ships on the battle and immediately setting upon the flank lines of the euterian fleet that were beginning to overwhelm the adrallan, a second move to send ships directly around the fleet and to its back was somehow successful and hit the unprotected carriers of the Euterian fleet until heavier ships forced the attack back with heavy cost for the light force. as the battle dragged on the superiority of the Adralland command especially the Grand Admiral was observed by all, but the euterians were no foe to be make light off and fought brutally and systematically under Pericles

A very dangerous time was When admiral pericles opened a hole in excharch attack and almost managed to fell him on combat by their ships, saved by help of the Grand admiral, which gained him the respect of many. The attack as bloody as it had been for the adrallan to beat back was a mistake that was amply took by the grand admiral with support of the excharch and the Euterian fleet formation was cut in two giving, which caused the rapid deterioration of their forces moral and break down by the end of it with Pericles managing to retreat after scoring a direct hit on the Exarch ship and destroying its engines for the rage of the excharch, as he had taken command upon the following of pericles and his retreating ships, with it it was botched and allowed to escape, in contrast with Relacey that had manage to destroy many ships of the segment he was pursuing. //

Soon enough troops were being land into the main colonies and once more Badgerud was under occupation by Adrallan. With no troops the defense of the planet once more relayed to militias and self defence forces, but for now with bombardment from ships and ruthless attack by the adrallan forces cities began to once more fall especially since they hasnt been rebuilt since 6 years ago invasion. half a million adrallan laid dead at the end of the six months and more reinforcement were requested but the concentration camps where the euterian were being put (costly measure but secure) helped in reducing resistance and as a threat, around ⅓ of the system had fallen to the land forces of adrallan.

/In Daredi a virus of unknown precedence wreak havoc with some of the supply lines and network of the Oligarchy for material transportation to the ship project and factories of adrallan(ship production reduced by 1/ 3, low econ growth damage to oligarchy)//

Adrallan 4th fleet:(-5 infantry)(-30 frigates,-20 LC,-25 HC,-8 BC,-4 BB)
5th fleet(-70 frigates, -30 LC,-10 HC,-7 BC, -7 BB, -2 CA)

Euterian:(-40 frigates,-70 LC,-50 HC,-25 BC, -13 BB, -8 CA)

The Second Holy Nocoii War

A new and renewed invasion of the Nicolys capital by the Taligori is ordered, gathering part of the Taligori fleet to strike . The Taligori once more arrive to Nocoii land and a brutal battle that last 3 days without stopping in the sytem ensue, miraculously the Taligori fleet overwhelmed 3 to 1 manage not only to survive but achieve a bloody and costly victory at the end routing the remaining Nocoii fleet into Erorlanza system. The remaining of the Taligori fleet stayed in the system but the heavily fortified nololys capital was not an easy target and a massive landing force and ships would be needed to even attempt to conquer billions of people.(-20 frigates,-7 LC,- 4 HC, -3 BC,-2 BB,-1 CA)

In rerdar bombardment and propaganda doesn't do much to break the will of the inhabitants that see their families being kill only to be that the Aestrix is their salvation. This just make them more determined to survive with the will of Noco. The forces in rerdat stop their offensive and camp in forest and plains here they are subject attacks by snipers and raiders wearing out the morale of the Taligori forces on it.(-3 Infantry, -2 Marines)

Election Woes

In the Ratugan Kingdom It was the well awaiting election year. There were many candidates with Francessco Siracasa being one of the most if not the most popular choice. The New force Party had boosted they would win the elections as true representative of the kingdom’s people, but in the end it fell to the popular Socialist candidate: Nathaniel Krumen to win the election. Imediatly the new Force party accused of cheating and vote manipulation the socialist and even the nationalist in second expressed suspicions as the ever popular Siricasa cam in third place. The atmosphere was tense but the socialist were celebrating their victory.

The end of the World

It was 3 months into the year when the Hemiltia Scientist noticed it, a new comet believed to make its way for this part of the galaxy every five thousand years, was observed and celebrated the possibility to watch it. Soon enough however it was noticed something...it was not going the expected route...no something much more sinister, its course intersected with the main plant of The hemiltia. Immediately the council was contacted and panic spread, the hemiltia main world was going to hit a comet what could be done?.Many proposals were given including trying weapons of mass destruction upon it but many dubted would help as it was a massive comet, with the speed of it it was calculated hemilthia only had 2 weeks before the impact.

Soon enough evacuation began, the rich , the powerful, the important fleet the world to the colonies in fast ships and expedite way.For the normal citizenry however things were harder, the ones with money were able to escape in private shuttles with whatever they could but the government people's evacuation shuttle were slow and trying their best. The measure were short and soon everyone knew how is it possible to evacuate over 12 billion in two weeks..the answer, soon was obvious...is impossible anarchy soon started to reign meanwhile the army and police tried to contain mobs trying to get into shuttles, soon every ship available was trying to evacuate people...but it was an empty gesture, most people were condemned to die on the planet. at 1 week deadline the army evacuated the planet and so did the navy for the horror of millions abroad and at home. only some hundred millions had been evacuated not even 1 billion. the rest was left for dead or to private enterprises.

Many merchants ships, captains of private ships and anyone that could tried to help on their own but everyone knew it was the end and a dangerous thing to do as the planet descent into chaos with no central authority and panic. Soon the day came and the comet impacted the planet, and Hemilthia was no more. The impact itself killed life in ⅓ of the planet the rest were left with with no oceans, and a dead planet in less than 1 week after impact less than 500 million were left alive on the planet mainly in bunkers and subterraneas refugees, sewage system and what not, soon to die.

Watching the Horror and the calls for help of the survivors, the hemiltia navy disobeyed the civilian government and departed to help in evacuation meanwhile governors of planets send help to evacuate more people. In a risky 1 month long operatio another 200 million were evacuated, the rest were lost.

9Bjadrm.jpg
Impact event

In total is believed 700 million escaped hemiltia out of 13 billion, soon enough riots and revolts break out on the army and navy and the confederation was no more as local generals and admirals decried be forced by the civilian government to abandon the people and loyalist forces soon were overwhelmed creating a state of warring factions in the hemiltia colonies, every system on its own. By the end of the sixth moment every system was under a revolutionary goverment, a warlord or a governor believing himself despot.

Citizens of Ratugon, I thank you for re-electing as one of the few chancellors to a second term in office. I promise you that the next 8 years, Ratugon will experience growth, prosperity, and advancement into technology. These next years will lead our nation to gre.......

The screens go blurry as the re-elected chancellor's face and voice disappear from the teleprompter. Everyone is confused at first, for this usually never happens. The power was still on, so it was not a black out.

Then an explosion was heard.

Smoke began rising from the Assembly building, large amounts began to pile into the sky. People began asking each other what happened. Was there a fire? Was there a gas leak?

Then, as if on Que, military fighter craft came out and began circling the assembly building. Troops began to deploy in streets around the assembly building. But these troops and craft were not wearing the symbols of the Ratugon army, but were wearing another symbol.

4WckZMR.png

Then the screens came back on, and instead of Chancellor Krumen, it was Prince-Consort Lukas.

Citizens of Ratugon, if you are hearing this, your are no longer under the governance of the Ratugon Assembly or under the protection of the Ratugon Military. A large military force has occupied the assembly, has killed Chancellor Krumen, and is currently holding your Queen and many nobles and politicians hostage. This force has not yet been identified, but do not fear, for the military is currently assembling to str........

The screen goes blurry again. At this point, the streets of Herak are crowded with soliders bearing the strange flags and symbols. They start ordering people back into their homes, and shooting anyone who resists them. The scene is chaotic as people begin fleeing the city through whatever means necessary, but this army has surrounded Herak, and no one is leaving. Then, the screens come back on, and it is neither the Prince-Consort, or the Chancellor, but Field Marshall Ramas Sicora.

Citizens of Ratugon! I apologize for the inconvenience, and all the chaos. Recently, in our noble elections, Mister Nathaniel Krumen won. His election though has been questioned. The legitimacy of these votes have been but into perspective. Few Chancellors have ever been elected to another term. So I decided to take care of this corruption myself.

The Assembly and the Monarchy, supporters of a weak democracy have been abolished. The Nobility will be arrested and tried for supporting a feeble government. It is time that a national leader take full control of this Polity. A leader, like myself, who will lead this nation to greatness. The Assembly and the Queen are nothing but corrupt and evil. So I will take charge of this country.

I official proclaim myself as National Leader of the New Ratugon, a Ratugon without a corrupt democracy, and a feeble royalty.

As such, my first orders are simple. The current Constitution of Ratugon has been suspended until a new one may be written, and all dissidents who side with the old regime will be shot. Any nobles will be arrested, and anyone who rebels will be slaughtered, mercilessly and without compromise.

Also with my orders, I hereby cut all ties Ratugon has with the Galactic Federation. It is time that Ratugon forge its own economic path, and any Voogamon, Cyngi, or Network in this polity will be arrested for espionage.

Hail the New Ratugon, Citizens! Hail the New Future, and Hail the New Force!

Chaos reigned in Ratugon. Nobles began leaving the planet, and citizens piled on transports to escape the chaos. Soon, the New Force began spreading across the planet, taking control of the entire Middle Continent. They have captured the entire Butsan Family, Queen, heir, and Prince-Consort. All candidates who took place in the election were shot, except for one. The Ratugon Army mobilized and soon ships began deploying in the Planet's orbit. The Loyalist Army began deploying in the middle continent, and soon all-out war raged around Herak.

(New Mechs and Loyalist Soldiers fighting near Herak.)

An emergency government was formed consisting of Military Commanders, and Assemblymen who got out of Herak. One of these men was Francessco Siracasa, who was elected to lead this emergency government. In a message to the entire Kingdom, he spoke words of hope and strength.

Citizens of Ratugon. A dark time has fallen upon us. These New Force men have unconstitutional seized power, and have declared a dictatorship, the most foul of all governments. They have begun butchering innocent people, and have killed everyone apart of the Government. They have kidnapped the Queen and her family, and have killed our formed Chancellor. These brutes will meet the sword or face our bullets. They will be crushed and they will be tried in front of God for their actions.

I ask the Galactic Federation to aid us in combating these fascists, and to restore order to this planet. Our military alone will not be able to combat these evil men, these thugs and murderers.

I ask Ratugon to remain strong, for our unity, for our Polity. The night is always darkest before the dawn, but head my words,

THE DAWN IS COMING!

Following recent events including a number of hard fought battles against the Adrallian Oligarchy's fleets Admiral Pericles has been appointed to the Euterian Naval Board to bring his considerable skill in battle to assistance of both the defence of the Homeworld and the overall strategic situation as it develops. This reward is considerable as the Euterian Naval board is often considered the greatest Privilege any Naval commander can receive. The extremely capable Admiral Brasidas has been appointed to continue the Ultimate war effort against the Adrallian fleets and with good fortune should be able to defeat their fleets.

Do You Hear The People Sing?

Press Release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, An. 27

The Federal Republic of Baekdu would like to express its hopes for a peaceful resolution to the Taligori-Nocoii War. It is apparent that the conflict is stalemating and that future fighting would only bring further suffering to both the Taligori and Nocoii peoples. To this end, we offer ourselves and, by extension, the Interstellar Democratic Union as mediators. If the leadership will agree, both parties are invited to attend a conference at Bucheon-dong, Planet Jeju in the Myongseong System for the purpose of resolving this conflict peacefully.

We also send our condolences to the people of the former Confederation of Helmetia on the tragic events that have occurred there. We are willing to accept refugees from the chaos and infighting that has transpired on those worlds, and as per the Im-Son Act of An. 14, they will be granted citizenship. The Republic will do what it can to help in this dark time.

긴 공화국 살기! / Long live the Republic!

- Park Jaesang, Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Baekdu

Gm note:So is friday afternoon and I only jave 4 orders set. Coupled with dropping of player and lower ics to none this giving me the conclusion that perhaps, the game is simply not interesting anymore for most if not all the player, which is frankly a disappointment. I shouldn't need to be sending pms and talking through steam and irc to corner people to send orders. I hope this is not the case, I Will analyse after this turn if my current conclusion is correct and if I will need to terminate the game. I have decided anyone that doesnt sent orders this turn will be erased from the galactic faces by a cosmic even in the fusion of galaxies.
